He had a lot more attention on him, he was trapped and doubled the moment he crossed half court, the amount of not only assists and hockey assists he gets is extremely valuable and a big reason why the Warriors won. Guys like Iggy, Livingston, Green and even KD got a bunch of open dunks/lay ups because of how much attention Curry garners.

Curry still scored plenty despite how many guys he had draped over him, so when he does score it's more impactful. His on off numbers also showed how impactful he is. Durant was great, sure, but Curry is the real finals MVP.

He didn't show that he was all time GOAT great but he clearly showed he was the best PG in the NBA and one of the best ever. His dominance of his matchup with Kyrie can't be understated.

Does anyone else think its weird how the Cavaliers constantly doubled Steph the entire series?

They almost always played Durant on single coverage. And they would live Iggy/Draymond wide open.

What choice do you have, Steph is the hardest cover in the NBA since he has the ball in his hands more than most in other positions. As tough as James is, he doesn't run the PnR and shoot anywhere near the level of Steph. That said, James is better but Curry is the NBA's toughest cover.

I agree with Legler....I don't think the Warriors win it without Durant.....honestly......Cleveland wouldn't have been beat by us without Durant.

You can gameplan Klay, Curry, Durant and Green but you can't gameplan them all on the same team. That's why I think Cleveland needs to scrap the idea of two offense dominate guys like Kyrie and Love, get a two way star like PG13 and upgrade Shump and Frye for someone like Biyombo. You build an elite defensive squad and who can make it hard and cover for Kyrie's defensive miscues.

Klay and Green have always shot the ball poorly against this cavs team thats why adding KD was so huge to us. Otherwise it would have been 2015 and 2016 all over again, they doubled Curry and we pray our guys to knock down open shots. KD just made it easy for us.

A more realistic add could be Ricky Rubio. He is a pure point guard and a defender who when LeBron goes to the bench is able to get others going as a playmaker.

Then you improve your wing defense with a long versatile guy. Someone with length who can at least spell LeBron on the defensive end. Maybe Aminu could be had somewhat cheap.

KD was averaging 35 points on them.

Steph was having a good series but are you really content with KD killing you every night to limit Steph?

I feel like it was a mistake.

He's only realistic if Minny willing to trade him for Shump and Fyre which is unlikely. Cle lacks cap space

Curry controls their flow of their offense. You have to account for all of their players.

I'm not sure theres a good answer when you're trying to figure out who to double between Curry and Durant. and when role players are guys like Iggy who make shots, what can a coach do really?

also, David West is a hilarious interview.
Rest in peace Kobe & Gianna
