Watched that video posted a while back where Thornwell scored all of his points inside the three point line. I have no clue if his game projects to the next level. I've got doubts. He got a ton of calls inside that sent him to the line. At 6'-5", not sure that will happen in the NBA.

I mean I expect Thornwell to shoot below 35% from 3 in his first year. I don't consider that a good shooter.

Part of me is thinking, do we just prioritize getting more shooting as the number one priority versus the best overall player available? Like weight shooting higher when looking at the prospect. In that case, guys like Ike would drop down my board some.

I get what you are saying but Kidd has Middleton and Teletovic and it seems that our offense was complete chaos. Kidd's moto " the closer to the basket you go, the bigger threat you are" is killing our shooters. We were near the bottom in the NBA in 3PAs ... so Kidd's is not thinking the way you think. I like your thought but Kidd is like driving this Franchise with his foot always on the break pedal. No reason to get a fast car when Kidd is the driver.
Anyway shooters : Kennard, Jok, not really sold on others ... there are many streaky shooters ... catch n shoot guys .... but as natural shooters are those two in my eyes.

Edit : Markannen too, Ferguson was projected as one of the best shooters in this class, but he had a low usage and poor % in Australia...

So you asked 5 best shooters
1.Markannen (picked earlier)
2.Kennard (probably picked earlier)
3.Jok (Projected Undrafted, available at #48)
4.Ferguson (probably available at #17)
5.Kurucs (available at#17)

I agree with 1 and 2, perhaps keeping Jok....but no Monk? I'd put Monk 3, considering age and all

I'd say it's pretty possible that Monk's lone season at Kentucky was an outlier as far as his shooting goes. He was not regarded as a good shooter coming out of high school, whatsoever.

No, there are good shooters in the draft but the further you go back the more flaws they will have. The guys you suggested are not good shooters.

I think this is gonna be a train wreck for the Lakers. This kid has been parented his whole life by an ****. I don't know if he has ever heard the word humble. I hope I'm wrong.

Surprisingly, any interview I've seen of Lonzo, he comes off as a good kid. Nothing like you'd expect, judging my his loudmouth, windbag of a dad.

Well at least Lonzo has a good sense of humor about it. I think people aren't understanding that it's all an act. Like Skip Bayless and Alex Jones, LaVar is just playing a troll character to the media.

That's what I think those who support him want to believe. Le Batard has had this angle since the start. I don't think it's an act at all. Nothing in his past indicates it is. He's simply a Bad Sports Parent.

I think it's an act. He knows that ESPN and Fox Sports eat that **** up, but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't still rightfully call him an obnoxious douche.

FWIW, Skip Bayless 100% believes what he says and takes his sports taeks more seriously than anyone. It's not a schtick for him either.

Lonzo himself has said his dad has been like this for as long as he could remember, the only difference is now he's a blue chip NBA prospect and everyone sees it on TV now.

Since Bam is in for a workout today, I decided to watch some film on him. His offensive game is a lot more polished than I realized. It was interesting when I watched an interview with him, they asked where he was most comfortable on defense and his answer was the 3 or 4 position. I always assumed he was more of a 5 from everything I've seen or read.

What do you guys think his best position will be? He's got good size at 6'10 with a 7'2 wingspan. I liked Anigbogu for his 7'6 wingspan, but his offensive game is very raw. Adebayo seems head and shoulders above in that department. As the draft nears, the guy I want us to take changes by day.

Well its pretty obvious we're most likely drafting a big, which shows me the expect Henson is gone and Monroe to opt out. If we go with a raw 3 yr project big man, than we better trade or sign a scorer to come off the bench

See that just makes me think Bam is delusional and he should be off the board entirely. It's one thing to have confidence, it's another to have a wildly inaccurate self-understanding.
