I take a Wojnarowski "insider info" like a grain of salt. Hayward has been a personal favorite of Ainge but I agree, he's not worth what it's going to take to lure him from Utah.

Surprised Boston hasn't jumped in the Portland, take a bad contract and get a first rounder, sweepstakes.

The Wizards? Why are you talking about the Wizards? And y'all call me senile?

They were brought up as a successful example of team ball by K P 6....

Why he do that?

 But I love you K P 6

I don't disagree with you but how you long do you wait for your Durant? They were the #1 seed last year, its hard to justify not going all in. Not enough difference makers to go around and even less with future "super-teams" on the horizon.

i understand but you have to be realistic. gordon hayward and the celtics still won't beat the cavs, let alone golden state. you're already the second seed in the east. this doesn't get you any further. maybe you do this and 2 years from now whoever you pick in the draft is so good that you can take over 2 years from now. but if that's case. maybe it's wiser to let the money roll over for a better target. once you do this, are you paying i.t. too ? lot to think about.

I'm laughing so hard right now. Stephen A smith thinks adding melo for love would put them over the top against the warriors. Max was killing him on that. Lol man I hope the cavs do it tho just so these melo apologist can see first hand how their guy still struggles even with lebron and kyrie.

SAS says that, but he knows deep down that's still not enough, because it isn't. They didn't need another ISO scorer, they needed to be able to stop the freight train coming at them, and they barely caused the W's to sweat. Melo might make a series slightly more entertaining, but in no way does swapping he for Love put them on the same level of a Durant upgraded W's.

If they some how manage to keep their core and add melo that still won't get them over the hump against the dubs. Trading melo for love is more of subtraction for the cavs. I want the cavs to pull the trigger so bad tho. My eyes don't deceive, melos game has recede.

Cavs trade Tristan Thompson and Shump for Melo
Cavs trade Kevin Love and Pick for Paul George
Cavs sign Vet. Min Centers the way Golden State did with Zaza and McGee

Irving George Bron Melo and Vet min. Center
or

Irving JR George Melo Bron (Cavs Deathball lineup)

Melo would make them work more as he too wouldn't be dependent on LeBron to create a shot for him.

They would definitely need a better defensive c, sg and scheme though.
I would look into Tyson if I were them.
...and if they could pull Lee and O'Quinn from us along with Melo they could be on to something.

Tyson/KOQ
Melo/Frye
LeBron/Korver
Lee/JR
Irving/

They have to try to break down Iman, Love and Thompson for multiple players.

I can understand how people used to Melo wouldn't believe Klay actually wants to leave an impact on a franchise.

Because the NBA is rigged and is all about storylines. Superteams bring in ratings and ratings equal more money and more money is added BRI Split which means more money for the players and owners.

Also, Melo won't waive his NTC for any other team except Cleveland so he can team up with Bron (I'm not sold on the Clippers)

Klay has a better team and front office that make it easy to do so. That's not close to even being in the same realm as Melo's tenure here with our beloved Knicks.

Was his highest PPG to date this past year with his highest FGA to date. They are in the midst of a dynasty. No reason for him to think about leaving.

He said during last offseason when they acquired Durant that he wasnt going to sacrifice a thing; based off his stats he didnt.

He is the second best 2 way player in the game, imo.
