I think Bender compares favorably to the prospects that will be available at 3 this year. He fits pretty well next to Embiid and arguably has more upside than Monk/Isaac/Frank, and the rest of the names that are being thrown around as good fits on this roster. I think #3 for him straight up makes some sense for both sides. It may be slightly undervaluing 3, which is why we get back a good fit and relatively talented prospect in Ulis who is likely worth more than 2 seconds at this point

Bender could barely even get off the bench for the Suns this year. He played 13 minutes a game in a little over only half of their games, averaging 3.4 ppg. No one would trade a top 20 pick for him right now.

bender is such a longshot. hes quick for his lenght, but thats all i like about him. he is soft af and doesnt even shot well.

he has not nearly the value of this years #3, and if you think so, you are derrick rose level-like weird

Wojnarowski and Marks dismiss the idea that the Kings would trade the fifth and 10th overall picks to move up to No. 3 to nab a top point guard. However, they acknowledge that Sacramento packaging the No. 5 pick with something a little less valuable in order to trade up wouldn’t be unrealistic.

Inbetween these options is the Sixers adding something to #3 to get #5 and #10.

I probably wouldn't do it, but don't think it's that far off either. Ulis is a nice player at position of need for us and BC has been on the record saying he is still looking for a PF/Stretch 4 for us. Bender is supposed to be that. He was extremely raw last (rookie) season.

Chicago says no. They have Butler locked up for a few more seasons. No urgency to push panic and sell now. Plus, why settle for #3 when you can just as easily get #1 from Boston?

A little quick to dismiss. I would entertain a conversation around Bender, Ulis, and a future PHX top 3 protected 1st for Okafor and #3.

Bender is just 19 years old still. And is a great fit next to Embiid and Simmons. And frees up Saric to be included in trade talks.

Alternatively, add Bledsoe to Bender instead of Ulis, and I like it more.

The Kings have drafted 3 big men in the last 2 drafts. If there's a team that has little interest in (or places very little value on) Okafor it's the Kings.

Because they're also getting a 2019 and 2020 1st rounder also. They have him locked up for a few more years but maybe they feel it's time to start rebuilding.
If they deal with Boston, they're not getting much more than #1
I'd also add in saric if this offer wasn't enough

Very true, but that's a sting COULD. Butler is a top 5 guard now. Im ready to cash in on some of our assets

Saric had a much better year than Bender. He is a strong playmaker and good shooter. He is a valuable asset!
