I have no idea who that guy tweeting it is, I thought he was a national guy or something, or even a kings guy. Sorry.

You have nothing to apologize for, I hadn't seen that tweet yet so thanks.
Anything is possible but I have a hard time comprehending why Vlade makes that deal. Seems unrealistic.

Re: NBA 2017 Draft thread. 5th pick and 10th pick.
If Vlade trades the 5th and 10th pick for the 3rd pick, which was ours in the first place before his terrible trade with the 76ers, then he needs to be run out of town.

Yeah, I am the Sergent at arms defending Vlade's castle on here and I even I would be hopelessly pissed if it happened. I have enough faith though that he not only has learned from the past but has surrounded himself with a good group that can help him make better decisions. It ain't happening IMO.

If that trade happened, it would essentially trading Nik, Landry, JT, an unprotected 2019 pick, Cousins, 2017 pick (3rd overall) and Casspi for 2017 pick (5th overall), 2017 2nd round pick (34th overall), Buddy Hield, Galloway, Evans, Arturas Gudaitis and Luka Mitrovic.
Just let that sink in for a minute.

I've mentioned this a couple of times already but only way I'd move #5 and #10 to 76ers for #3 is after the 76ers are on the clock on draft night. If Kings brass really wants Fox then I want to make sure he's there at 3. 76ers also need to send Covington and 2 of their 4 2nd rounders. Fox addresses PG, Covington would be starting SF (he's fairly young, long, and excellent 3&D), and the with the 2 2nd rounders we could target Swanigan and Mason. I'd love if we came out of the draft with Fox, Covington, Bell, Swanigan, and Mason.

I really hope your right here. They need to be patient the draft is so deep they will get two excellent pieces at 5 and 10. If fox top 4 so be it take Tatum and see what happens at 10.
Is Tatum and Mitchell really a bad draft? I'd be pretty happy if we left the draft with those two. I like fox a lot but it's just plain stupid to move both unless you're getting fultz at 1.

Festus Ezeli in town hanging with Vlade and Peja at the Republic FC game. Vlade and Peja stay networking nowadays.

You'd have to see who was available at 10 and how they turned out before you judged it though. I'm not super confident in the 10th pick with recent mocks that I've seen. He will probably have to either reach for a player of need, or a draft someone that isn't of great need. I would rather see him secure the guy he wants if it means he doesn't have to move any current young building piece then maybe trade back into the later first round to get someone like Bell, who would be a total reach at 10 most likely.

Covington could be an interesting nab in that deal. I still would like to see that 2019 unprotected pick turn into a pick swap along with it.

Re: NBA 2017 Draft thread. 5th pick and 10th pick.
If there is any truth the Kings moving up, I would bet it's probably for Jackson. No way does Jackson make it to 5.
Right now I feel like if the Lakers take Ball at 2, there is a possibility you see Jackson at 3 and at which point the Kings move 5 and 10 for him. My personal opinion is I would go for Fox at 5 instead, but I trust Vlade and his scouts on that one because Jackson could be a true franchise 2 way player.

So if you trade for Jackson what's the plan at PG? Draft Frank Mason at 34 and resign one of Lawson/Collison?

Covington has been of interest to me for a couple years. Maybe because he always plays so well against the Kings. He is 26 years old, 6'9, averages 13 pts and 6 rebs, he led all SF's and 4th overall in the NBA in DRPM which is a player's estimated on-court impact on team defensive performance, measured in points allowed per 100 defensive possessions. He also rates high in RPM and Wins. Wins is especially impressive playing on a 28 win Sixer team.
His length at 6'9 to go along with Skal and Willie would be great. The Kings could be a top 5 defensive team in the NBA with the below roster. Sign Shelvin Mack as a back up PG and use all the extra cap space to take on short term bad contracts while obtaining assets. Pick up star SF in 2018 draft and have plenty of money to go after needed free agents with idea of playoffs in 2018-19 season and latest 2019-20.
Fox/Mason/Mack
Hield/Bogdanovic/Richardson
Covington/Temple
Labissiere/Bell/Swanigan
Cauley-Stein/Koufos/Papagiannis
A defensive line up of Fox, Temple, Covington, Bell, and Koufos would be the defensive team. Mason, Hield, Bogdanovic, Labissiere, and Swanigan would be best offensive team and of course coach Joerger would be able to mix and match as needed.

I'd say if trade up is for Jackson then Kings need to go after a upper tier PG in free agency. Teague or Holiday because they're younger or Lowry or Hill or try to trade with Suns to get Bledsoe.

All of that could be an option. They could also finally sign Buddy's OK buddy Isaiah Cousins and roll with him and one of those 3 you listed.

There're a lot of options:
1) trade someone like Rozier, Mudiay, Dunn and give them a chance with no pressure;
2) wait for 2018 draft using vets Temple, Lawson, Galloway;
3) try Bogdanovic/Hield as PG/combo.
But I'm sure we have to draft BPA guys, to find the man we can built the team around first. And it's not necessary a PG.

I agree with this. Which is why i could see the Sixers taking Fox at 3, and then the Kings taking Monk at 5, (or selecting essentially for the Sixers), and then at 10, depending on who is available, either a swap happens at that time, or 3 for 5 happens with other assets going back to Philly, or even a 3rd team gets involved for just 10, sending an asset to Philly and an asset to Sac.
