LA Times: "Strong chance" Ryan West joins his dad with the Clippers

There is a strong chance that West’s son, Ryan West, who is the Lakers’ director of player personnel, will join the Clippers in some capacity, one executive said

Hopefully we bring someone else established in. The lack of front office experience kind of scares me. I thought Jerry West would have been a perfect fit as someone to bounce ideas off of.

forreal though, i hope he stay a laker. he and jesse have done a great job acquiring talent through the draft these past years

Well this would double suck. First the logo and now Ryan. I hope we keep him. I cringe every time I read Jerry West's name in the same sentence as the Clippers.

Yeah because he'd rather join the Clippers instead of capitalizing on, you know, when his dad was apart of the Warriors as well.

There's something that got between Jerry Buss and West, never hear of it. Wonder how bad it could be. Why not hire both of them?

If he willingly goes to the Clippers, then I'm out on him. You don't leave the Lakers for the Clippers. Rob will assemble a stellar scouting team.

He wanted a percentage of the Lakers like Magic had, but it wasn't that much to peel off anymore. Also he was caught in his feelings with Phil dating Jeanie, hated that Phil wouldn't acknowledge him. That all caused him to leave, he wasn't fired...he left us not the other way around. And if Ryan want's to bounce, don't let the door hit ya ass on the way out, bye bye for all I care.

Well I think that's fine, I mean no hard feelings, it's his dad after all and he wants to work with him. I think it's pretty clear this is the Magic/Walton show from this day forward and I think we are good with that.

I agree this is just a rumor but it could be he wants to live in LA with his family
