I never wanted him at #3, but now I'm not even sure if I'd take him at #5 if we happen to make that Sacramento trade.

While I like Tatum and would not be angry if we drafted him at 5 if we traded back I would prefer we draft Isaac at 5. I know I'm in the minority but I think you can make a case for Isaac going 3rd. But if we trade to 5 it's to get Isaac. If we do draft Isaac I would immediately try to trade Saric to see if we can trade him and one or two 2nds to get to pick 7 or 9.

How about Jackson at 3; Saric and 2 2nds for Smith at 7?

That is a very lopsided trade in our favor.

There's a lot of chatter. I don't buy this. Why would the Kings trade 2 picks to just move up 2 slots to get Fox who will be there at 5? If they did do this it would have to be for Ball or Jackson. I don't see Fox going in top 4.

What does that mean "he wants a lot"? He's the one talking to multiple teams trying to trade up to get his guy!

I'd really hate to have Russell, the personality, on this team. But his offensive skills are a near perfect fit for Embiid/Simmons and our offense.

If so I rather have Monk here.

I'm including Okafor in any deal we make with LA. Let him sabotage their team and improve the pick we receive.

Embiid and Simmons both played high school ball with him, hopefully if he's actually a huge jerk they know it and would speak up.

I am optimistic a lot of his issues have been immaturity and being in LA though. Might be good for him to move out.

Odd reading those tweets and the person confidently reporting as if 5 & 10 are too much for #3 or #4. When has it ever been enough?

Fox is going to have extra motivation to torch the Kings next year. His name is being used so transparently as a form of misdirection by them.

Dillon Brooks appears to be the best player at practice today.

I've been an advocate of Brooks for a while. He plays defense, he distributes from a non-G position, he can score, he can shoot, he's athletic and twitchy. The only thing not to like is his wingspan.

The personality issue is way over stated because of one incident that got out of hand. He got critiqued on by Byron (consider the source) for being too playful and not serious enough in practice. He never had a single bad incident afterwards with any of his teammates. Doesn't get technicals, doesn't complain on the court, etc....

I get the sense that Dlo likes being young, talented and popular. I don't get the sense that he's gotten over himself and is fully ready to embrace being a professional yet. I'd imagine that's the same conclusion your organization has reached.

Russel alone for the third pick makes no sense. He hasn't fulfilled his own draft value yet, has used up two valuable years of his rookie contract and the Lakers are essentially saying he isn't as good as the third pick in this draft. It would have to be Russell plus quite a lot to even interest me.

I think the trade down scenarios make the most sense if BC really does like DSJ or Tatum/Isaac. Is DSJ his new age vision of Kyle Lowry? That almost makes sense, from a Colangelo mindset.

If he likes Tatum or Isaac, is Donovan Mitchell his idea of a Curry defender, scorer at secondary PG?

So many blogger fed or created rumors, innghe end we likely just pick at three and take Jackson or Ball.

That's fair, but he makes a lot of immature decisions on the basketball court as well though. The jury is still out on whether his poor shot selection can be coached out of him, for example.

I'm generally always against a trade down. It makes even less sense when you're talking about a top 3 pick in the NBA draft. Those opportunities shouldn't be wasted attempting to get an insignificant additional role player, like what you're likely to get at #10.

Trading down is a mistake, but if they do it for Dennis Smith it would lessen the sting a bit.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

fair enough, he does have a tendency to make lazy TOs. He will also play hero ball at times, but considering he's mostly done that while being the best player in his starting lineup surrounded by ISO, score first player, i haven't had much issues with it.

If Lonzo drops to Sixers. I find our pick to increase it's value as a trade chip for Jimmy Butler or Paul George.
