Everyone keeps calling Tatum a ball stopper and iso player but he brings more to the table than Isaac does as a passer and cutter, and might be better on the catch and shoot.

When you look at GSW, everyone always looks at the ball movement and spacing, but I think one of the keys to that is that every player can bring the ball up the court off a rebound and push it forward. I don't trust Isaac to develop into a player who can grab and go like that, while I saw Tatum do it a lot in Duke's offense.

When comparing the two, I value Tatum's ball handling, feel for the game, passing instincts, and ability to score at the FT line (at an ELITE level) above Isaac's freakish length and potential defensive versatility.

Isaac is actually a really good cutter. It's one of his few BBIQ strengths on the offensive end.

So Gambo is saying Jackson has worked out for us, LAL, and will be working out for the Sixers......big deal and he has a promise, big deal. We know one of us, Philly or the Lakers will take him.

Edit: Isaac, Tatum, Fox, and Jackson are the only ones we are considering........tell me something we don't know.

So why did he cancelled the workout?

Lol right? I could have come up with that groundbreaking revelation a month ago.

Sixers could make this a very interesting draft night. Hell, the Lakers or even Boston too. This seems like such an up in the air draft right now. Moreso than I feel is typical. Boston not needing a prospect could trade it for the highest bidder. Lakers could swing many deals, having Magic is a wildcard as we don't know what type of GM he'll be. Sixers either reaching for a player or trading down and working out guys in the range they might trade. Makes me really salty (again) that we missed the top couple picks. We are so dependent on the craziness that might take place in front of us.

It sure would be convenient to have Fox as our guy at #4. No better smokescreen than the fire itself. Then if SAC wants to jump ahead of us, maybe we end up with the #3 guy on our board as a result.

Huh.

It would be great if the Sixers draft Monk. He is a perfect fit and he is talented enough to be considered a #3 pick.

But Gambo says that Josh Jackson is gonna workout for the Sixers. ****.

When we look at Monk the issue is that he isn't a point guard but has the size of a point guard. Now since the 76ers don't need him to run the offense (they have Simmons) they can play him at point and let guard point guard where his size isnt an issue.

So no Ball, Smith Jr., and Fox? Fox refused to workout (so I've heard anyways). Has Ball refused to workout or did we just assume he's gone to the Lakers? Seems strange we didn't bring in DSJ, why not do our due diligence anyways?

Ball refused iirc. Smith might be gone after top10.

Actually watched the vid. I like DeAaron, seems like a really good kid. Has his dad around, articulate, carries himself well, and is aware of who he is and what he needs to do. He has some humility. Based off of that video, I would rather draft him than Ball all day long.

I need to see how Tatum and Isaac are as people, because I'm leaning DeAaron now and it is only fair for me to see them in the same light for comparison.

bw articulated pretty early on the single best reason to draft anyone at #4, assuming the Lakers draft Ball. If you draft Fox, you get Lonzo's nemesis. Can't beat that.

Add the fact that it would piss off the Kings something mighty and I'm doubly sold. It's just... we just haven't seen even the slightest indication that we're actually interested in Fox.

Some smokescreen! :P

I do not remember Ball refused to wo with Suns. He turned C’s down, but Sixers and Suns remained plausible options. Maybe a bit later, if he perceives Lakers taking Jackson is a real possibility.

Not scheduling a wo with SmithJr is a mistake and i can’t see why. Not so responsible nor professional from FO. Especially knowing Collins had a workout and he’s projected around #10. I’m puzzled.

Good point. Though maybe they're hoping it's possible Philly takes him at #3 and they don't want his knee to blow out again before then.

We're pretty well-positioned to move down if we're not in love with one player in particular. SAC will fear we want Fox. ORL may fear we want whomever of Tatum or Isaac they prefer. MIN may fear we want Isaac (if he's their guy). It sure would be nice to revamp our roster AND pick up a promising young player on draft night.
