All these pick rumours, I thought I was overhyped!

Must game of phones between Ainge, Magic, Colangelo, McDonough.

If push comes to shove I just highest bid for Fultz and figure it out later, we talk about 50 Markieff Morris types for 10 years when a single Fultz can change more on his own.

I guess the assumption all along up until the last few days though was that Jackson would go 3rd and they might trade up for Fox so we could be deciding between Jackson and Isaac. I wonder if we made a promise to Isaac. Bad to burn agent relationships. That would be absolutely crazy if Jackson and Isaac were there and we took Isaac and then Boston STILL got Jackson at 5.

would be funny if Ainge and McD agreed to smokescreen the hell out of Fox, talking about how much they love him, leaking he's at the top of their boards, almost forcing Sac to trade up

Ainge has already stockpiled a lot of assets, I can't see him walking away from a "tier 1 unicorn" just so he can stockpile another pick. I think he values them all fairly evenly and has no specific needs and is looking to take advantage of someone that has more obvious holes. Or maybe he's just setting the stage for a trade or two (with the rumors flying about Lebron next season, what would it take to move him now?).

We haven't worked out Fultz? If a deal were to happen, we'd have the inside track but unless we work him out, how can you take him and risk a lot while doing so?

Tier 1 unicorn is a little more than I'm willing to call Fultz at this point. He's a great college player, but his measurements aren't off the charts, his teams don't win, and I'm not even sure he's a can't miss all-star, let alone a generational type talent.

I could see him walking away. Ainge knows how to put deals together. Besides what happens when Lebron heads West?

Nobody knows if we worked out Fultz except Ainge/McD. I did notice multiple smokescreens.

Boston fans seem to want no part of Josh Jackson. Reading their draft thread they are not too happy that they might lose Fultz.

#3/future pick for #1? Not a bad deal. Maybe add Griffin in FA?

The Sixers would apparently send No. 3 and at least one future first-round choice (perhaps the Lakers' 2018 first-rounder and maybe even the club's 2019 first-rounder) to Boston and select Washington guard Markelle Fultz.

Also, an NBA source confirmed the Sixers were working out Kansas small forward Josh Jackson on Friday in Sacramento. Team president of basketball operations Bryan Colangelo, head coach Brett Brown, vice president of player personnel Marc Eversley and Williams attended the session.

Suns trade:

Pick 4, Heat 2021 pick and Warren to Bulls for Butler.

Bledsoe for Pick 9 from Mavericks.

Butler plus 2018 Suns or Heat pick (lower) to Celtics for Pick 1.

Suns sign and trade Len to Blazers for Crabbe

Suns drafts Fultz at 1.
Suns drafts Collins at 9.

Suns
C: Chandler / Collins
PF: Chriss / Bender / Dudley
SF: Crabbe / Bender / Dudley
SG: Booker / Crabbe
PG: Fultz / Ulis

Not that much. Those picks are a valuable commodity. Especially the 2021 unprotected pick.

They are valuable. You use valuable assets to get a valuable asset like the #1 pick. If they used that to get Fultz I'm all in. Use that to get Ball, I'm pissed.

Why wouldn't Boston just trade directly with Chicago if they wanted Butler?

Bostons wants more picks and then will flip them for Butler. Apparently they are going to max out Hayward. Ainge going all in with his assets.

EDIT: Lowe just said it was a done deal. Fultz just needs to pass his physical.

If pick 3 and players get it done then he gets a bonus Lakers pick instead of being over generous.

So who would Chicago take, oh boy.

So Philly works out Jackson and decides they need to trade up and then Lakers work out Jackson and they are not impressed.

Re: Suns Draft Day Trade Up Rumor

I really like Philly moving up. Even if they offer up that LAL pick, and a swap next year with Boston, it's a good move.

They need guards and it just so happens that the best player in this draft and surest thing is a PG named Fultz.

Fultz is a #1 pick. Simmons will probably live up to his #1 pick hype. Embiid (if he can stay healthy) is a beast.

Their 1/3/5 is set and they have a solid 3/4 in Saric + Okafor.

They could take a gamble on one of the other PG's or they could waste 2-3 more lottery picks trying to find someone better then Fultz. May as well trade 3 green houses for 1 hotel.
