Sixers officially acquire #1 pick per Woj and Aldridge. Will get Fultz

It just makes no sense.

We don't need to make this kind of deal. We are in great shape to get Ball or Jackson who are both better prospects than Fultz, event if they don't fit as cleanly.

If Bryan makes this deal then he is definitely going out on a limb and gambling with Hinkie's assets. He better be right because Hinkie would have never traded Josh Jackson for Markell Fultz and future whatever.

If we gave up the Lakers pick for this it will flat out suck even if Fultz turns into a stud, which could easily happen.

Fultz is a fine prospect and I would have no problem taking him at #3.

Coughing up multiple premium assets to take him #1 is absolutely asinine, though.

If Woj says it's close, it's close. The dude has the NBA by the balls. People are petrified of feeding him bad info. He was the first one to say watch Durant to the Warriors and people laughed it off. He said it months in advance.

I forgot about that. Sounded crazy at the time, but here we are 16 months later and Durant just won them another title.

If Fultz turns into a stud, then it would be a great trade. If we get a perennial all star, then I'd love this trade.

we don't know what Hinkie would have done or been forced to do really. For all we know, he'd be super into Fultz like a lot of scouts. I know people around here like to look down on the majority but I doubt EVERYONE is wrong on Fultz.

now I am in the group who worries about giving up too much and probably would rather stay put (remember I am pretty high on Jackson too) but miss me with that "oh Hinkie would never ever" stuff. Yeah he probably wouldn't, he'd probably look to trade down and get even more future picks....trolololololol. Now I don't know nor think Fultz is that guy, but eventually you have to cash in your assets and take a chance at someone being that guy...this ideal world in which Harden is just sitting there isn't something realistic and for us to get this thing off the ground, it will probably take a risky move to do so. And hey, its not like Bryan is trading for Rudy Gay...he's trading for a 19 year old combo guard that fits a lot of boxes we need to fill. There are worse all in deals.

Apologies haha but I am getting hyped for you guys.

The team was already giving the Cavs fits last season so I can imagine how the Sixers would do with a full deck.

Definitely should be a playoff team this year.

I think it's more of a case of the majority being right on assessing him as an excellent prospect but wrong on their valuation of him as a worthy top pick.

It's probably going to end up as:

CHI gets 3, 2018 LAL 1st, Okafor, and Brown
BOS gets Butler
PHI gets 1 plus filler

I also figure Boston will dump a salary on Philly so they can offer a full max to Hayward. I don't know which one they will want to dump, however, hence filler.
