PHI is involved to get BOS at least two first round draft picks, in addition to Butler. Ainge is not going to trade the #1 pick for Butler.

Magic is trying to play 3D chess on this.

I think what is actually going on is that the 76ers are secretly trying to get Lonzo. And there is a high possibility if the 76ers select Lonzo #1, the Celtics could still find Fultz fall into their lap at #3, because he is rather redundant on the Lakers roster. WHICH is why it was "leaked" to DraftExpress that Magic is in "love" with Fultz so the Celtics are more hesitant to make the move so that Magic can still get Lonzo.

Magic ain't passing on Fultz if Ball is off the board. hell, in that situation even if he isn't crazy about fultz, he may pick him anyway and turn the tables on Ainge and force him to give LAL their pick back for next year :lol:

Butler makes no sense because this team won't contend during his prime. If Ainge ****s this up he will never ever live it down. They will talk about this trade forever if Fultz/Simmons/Embiid win titles. Would be Harden trade x100.

Butler could be in his prime for another 5-6 years.

We don't know what the league will be like in 3 years. 3 years is a lifetime in the NBA.

So Boston trades 2017 1st and 2018 Brooklyn 1st for Butler and 2018 LA first. Not bad. Chicago gets a good return with 3rd this year and the Brooklyn pick in 2018. Philly gets their guy in Fultz.

For one, even if there was any truth at all to this stuff (i dont buy it if its not from Woj or someone close to it), Boston would be getting Butler AND the Lakers pick.

two, atleast Butler is a legit star. OKC got 1 year of meh Kevin martin and Steven Adams for a bonafide superstar

i don't know how Fultz will be, but I would bet any $$ he will not be James Harden

So Harden trade x100 is just a tad off

to add to all this: perhaps some of this extra juice in these trade rumors is the league/Silver getting this stuff out there. it finally got us all talking about something other than itching about the cavs/warriors :lol:

There's no way the Celtics are doing that. Fultz is worth more than Butler alone and the Brooklyn 18 pick is worth more than LA's.

Yeah IMO Ball's best fit is far and away Philly. His strengths in the half court are cutting and spotting up off ball, which he can do a lot alongside Simmons and Embiid. And having those two as running mates in transition could be a lot of fun. But I think they'd go with Fultz.

Agreed. Ball can be a spot up guy you run through picks, a pick and roll guy with either Embiid/Simmons/Okafor, and he can run the offense and give Simmons a spell when need be. Plus the hype he brings is something I think would be welcomed in Philly, they could use a little attention.
