As long as I love Fultz, the most I offer would be #3 and the 2019 SAC pick. Man, we have been waiting the LAL pick to convey for years and finally it is unprotected...

I'm a believer that Fultz is the top prospect in this draft and love his fit with us, my only real apprehension here is that BC is going to significantly overpay. I get the impression that BC views Fultz as "his star", an elite prospect brought in through his actions and not Hinkie's, therefore putting his mark on the team. Secondly, he sees Fultz as the third member of our future big 3, and based on that he's willing to overpay what he needs to. The obvious flaw being the possibility one or more of our core prospects doesn't pan out. Of course this is just my opinion on BC's thought process, but if my assertions are correct we could be feeling a whole lot of buyers remorse when the full details of this trade, assuming it goes through, are released.

Im not saying hes a future hall of famer or surefire superstar, but hes EASILY the best prospect to be a star in this draft, and on top of that high ceiling, he has the safest floor. His worst case scenario is a silid starting 2 guard in this league.

Anyone saying ball is better .. like.. I question your basketball knowledge all together.

We have ben simmons, he has all of the strengths that ball has but with way more iverall talent and strengths ball doesnt have

We dont need an extremely poor mans ben simmons when we already have ben simmons

to question someones basketball knowledge and call ball an extremely poor mans ben simmons the next sentence is pretty weird..ball can shoot, simmons cant. and dont get me wrong. i know simmons is on another overall-talent-level.

Im talking about his ability to run an offense and his vision.. that is his strong suit something that simmons already has.. and again I do not feel balls shot will translate to the nba just like i felt ingrams would not either. Ball could not break down college defenders 1 on 1 and create his own shot.. he sure as hell aint going to in the nba

and what makes you confident, fultz' shooting will translate? his 65% ft as a guard is alarming...justise winslow shot 64 % from the stripe in his college season and 41,8% from 3 (110 attempts). pretty identical numbers to fultz' (fultz attempted 126 3's)

Furious would be the understatement of the year if this came to pass.

If we trade any future picks, even the top 20 protected OKC pick to move up for Jackson, BC is the stupidest GM currently in the league. Of the three top prospects Jackson is the worst fit for our team and has long been expected to be the one left at 3. Any trade up better be for Fultz and needs to be a reasonable offer, even if a slight overpay.

Jon stated that as of 10 pm he was told from a very reputable source that has been spot on before and has known for years the negotiations have gone as follows.
Negotiations started and Ainge asked for #3 LAL 18 and SAC 19 which Colangelo immediately shot down, and offered to give a Sixers future pick in exchange for the SAC 19 pick. This is where they are at currently with Fultz' reps looking to schedule a workout most likely on Sunday.

If BC want to consolidate all the future draft picks, he should to it for a proven player but not move up in draft.

I think its a done deal.
#3 + LAL 2018 + Sixers 2019/2020. I guess unprotected.

We still have our 2018 and Sac 2019 to get our SG. We desperately need a SG.

If we give up 3 picks for one, then it's a total overpay IMO. There's little evidence that Fultz will be that much better of a player than Jackson or Ball. If we sent out #3, LAL 1st, and a future PHI 1st then I'm expecting a piece back from Boston (i.e. Smart). Otherwise, it's a total overpay.

BOS out: #1, BKN 2018 1st, Smart
BOS in: Butler

CHI out: Butler
CHI in: #3 (Jackson), BKN 2018 1st, LAL 2018 1st, Okafor

PHI out: #3, LAL 2018 1st, Okafor
PHI in: #1 (Fultz), Smart

We then roll out:

Fultz/Bayless/TJ
Smart/TLC/Stauskas
Covington/Anderson
Simmons/Saric/Poythress
Embiid/Holmes/Long
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards
Watford/Barlow/Walker
Embiid/Drummond/Bona/Broome

im already ecstatic for this 20th overall SG next year. last chance would be to hit gold with the kings pick...

otherwise, this sg has to come via FA

If that's the trade we don't "desperately" need anything.

From Pompey and Cooney:

Talks are reportedly far enough along that Fultz could meet with the Sixers in Philadelphia as early as Saturday. A source said Fultz was scheduled to have a second meeting with the Celtics on Saturday. However, that meeting was canceled. Another source said late Friday night that the Sixers had scheduled a workout or meeting with Fultz. That was part of the reason why the trade appears to be on hold.

This trade has the potential to look extremely bad in a few years. The Lakers will be a bottom 5 team next season. That gives them about a 30% chance of landing a top 3 pick. So we could be giving up Jackson and one of Porter/Ayton/Bamba. That in addition to yet another Sixers pick. The inclusion of the LA pick was already a no for me, but this is a hell no.
