I personally wouldn't trade up because I like both Isaac and Tatum a lot feel good about just sitting at 4. But if the Suns believed that Ball or Jackson were a level above those guys as prospects dealing a lotto protected 1st or the heat pick is an acceptable cost to get the guy you want. Now if the Suns wouldn't protect their pick to at least top 10 it's a crazy ass deal they shouldn't do.

If they went with Ball it could set up an interesting chain of events where Jackson goes 3, the Lakers take Fox at 4, Sac goes Smith at 5, and Orlando takes who ever they like best of Isaac or Tatum. Then Minnesota would be on the clock and is a realistic Bledsoe destination. Suns could conceivable come out of the draft with both Ball and one of Tatum or Isaac... that would be a hell of a draft day.

If the Celtics think JJ is our guy at 2 maybe they keep 1 and draft JJ which gives us Fultz

Which then might still put lonzo with the lakers at 4

Ok. So the Celts trade with Philly and the Suns trade with the Lakers. So now the draft is.

1. Philly--Fultz
2. Suns--Ball
3. Celtics--Tatum
4. Lakers--Fox
5. Sacramento--Jackson

A last minute visit from Ball would probably ignite our trade talks with LAL. Man, I'm all in for a Ball-Booker back court.

Scares me to hell that McD could fall in love with Ball and end up trading our pick next year to move up to get him.

Miami pick/picks, don't care as they probably won't amount to much as Miami will probably be chasing some free agents hard and will be a playoff team again.

But if we give up our pick next year...just the thought makes me ill.

Next year's Miami pick? Yes.

The other unprotected Miami pick or our pick next year? No thanks.

Another piece of the core is important. Ball or Jackson is worth next year's likely non-lotto pick. Plus whatever we get for Bled if we pick Ball will be good too.

Make it happen if it's possible.

Okay, who in the lottery would trade their pick for Bledsoe? I would like Ball + a big in this draft even though my heart will break a little if we lose Isaac.

That's my wish too.

Ball- 6'6"
Booker 6'7"
Isaac 6'11"
Chriss 6'10"
Bender 7'1"

Ulis, Warren, Sauce, DJJ, Len/Chandler, Dudley, Barbs on the bench.

I don't think our pick would be included unless heavily protected. I would probably trade the 2018 pick myself if I knew Ball was in on Phoenix and wasn't going to leave for LA and Durant us in his prime.

I wouldn't trade the Miami pick in 2021, but if we did that instead of the 2018 one I would still be able to live with it. It cannot be our unprotected pick next year. That alone is way too much.

Are you talking about trading up for Ball, or taking him if he drops to 4?

I think Denver would for sure almost, though we'd have to take like Barton and Nelson back, as I don't think they have cap space..Barton only has a year and would be a good backup for Booker. Nelson would be a good vet PG for the bench. Now at that pick we could likely get Collins, Markkanen, Anunoby, Kennard or Mitchell.

Outside of that, I think Minnesota, NY and Dallas are wildcards. If for some reason Sacramento went Tatum or Isaac hoping a PG would drop to 10, and DS Jr and Fox get taken by Orlando, Minn, NY, I could see them trading 10 for him. Ntilikina could be there but I think they'd take Bledsoe over him as they are desperate to compete I believe and I don't think they've see him.

If you are talking Ball dropping because LA goes with Fox, and we go with Ball at 4, I think might trade 5 for Bledsoe, or they would take Tatum, and then Orlando would take Isaac.

So if LA takes Fox, and Jackson goes 3rd, we could see if Sacramento wants to trade 5 for Bledsoe, and if so, we take Isaac (if promised) and Ball...we could make it sound like we are taking Ball 4th, but we want 5 if they want Bledsoe.

Id rather use the Miami pick to help trade into the back end of the lottery for Collins thjan move up 2 spots.

I knew it was going to get done. Makes sense with McD saying Jackson is an Ainge/Celtics player. They most likely will get the guy they wanted all along, along with the stash of draft picks to throw at Chicago to get Butler.

Now McD needs to pull some Kevin Costner Draft Day **** and make a trade with the Lakers. Jump up and grab the 2nd pick and threaten the Celtics with it. Trade them #2 for #3 and an additional pick. Hell yeah! And also snag David Puttney just because we feel like it!

Sixers' core is ridiculous if they can stay healthy.

Well done McD.

We basically gave the Celtics IT and now we enabled the 76ers to land #1 pick Fultz.

Single handedly trying to improve the Eastern Conference, Stern would be proud.

Man.. I'm now torn on who I want the Suns to draft..

Jonathan Isaac freakish length and perimeter quickeness and agility is phenomenal. He's has the most potential but also can be the biggest bust potential.

Jayson Tatum scoring ability is amazing. He reminds me so much of a Paul George type of player.

One thing is for sure , McD track record says that we will get a good player.

Is it fair / unfair to say in 2 years that we passed on Cousins and Fultz?

Unfair. Kings wanted us to give up Booker for Cousins, and Sixers wanted Fultz and could have beat any offer we put on the table because of Hinkie's treasure chest.
