Kind of looking forward for the draft to be over and the summer league to start.

Tatum is their (Celtics) guy--not buying this Jackson association.

i think it would be split. At 3 i'd imagine it has to be a choice between Tatum and Jackson. Jackson being BPA and Tatum being the fit. I think Ainge would love Jackson, its exactly his type of player, the only problem is that they've just drafted Brown.

I think there is a better chance of Celtics trading back to #5 and #10, then drafting Jackson at #3.

Celtics getting their money worth from that #1 pick...

Imagine dictating this draft like the Celtics are doing...

#1 76ers via Celtics - Markelle Fultz
#2 Lakers - Lonzo Ball
#3 Kings via Celtics via 76ers - De'Aaron Fox
#4 Suns - Tatum/Jackson
#5 Celtics - Tatum/Jackson
#6 Magic - Isaac
#7 Wolves - Markkanen
#8 Knicks - Monk
#9 Mavs - Smith Jr./Ntilikina
#10 Celtics via Kings - Smith Jr./Ntilikina

So trading Fultz for Tatum, Smith Jr., 2018 Lakers 1st Round Pick (Unprotected), and 2019 Kings 1st Round pick (Protected).

No-brainer.

This is hard to believe.
Not that I care, but C's fans can't be happy with this.

Pretty fair trade for both sides imo.

Yeah, I'm not gonna lie, seeing how badly we wanted Fultz and that we were willing to trade up...It doesn't speak very well of Lonzo. Doesn't look like we are that high on him.

Woj confirming that the Lakers wanted the number 1 pick to draft Fultz.

That definitely gives me more trust in our Front office going forward. They are looking to make the best move not the most popular one. Having said that time to draft Ball with the number 2 pick and call it a day.

I'm surprised the Celtics would turn down #2 and Randle. Seemed like a better deal to me. But I am eager to see what Lonzo Ball looks like in this league.

I think we are giving Ball some nice scoring options in Ingram, Russell, and Randle. Personally would rather have Ball's vision than Fultz's scoring.

There is a cap issue here. They have to absorb Randle's salary before free agency.

The Celtics could have told the Lakers this:

"Look, we're not high on Fultz and we're leaning on taking Ball here with the #1. Meanwhile, Philly is really high on Fultz. If you go public with your admiration for Fultz and draw up the price for us, then we won't select Ball and we'll trade the pick to Philly so you guys can have Lonzo to yourselves."

+

#3 spot is such a pivotal spot in this draft. That is where we were hearing Philly and Kings trade talks. Boston's endgame is to stockpile assets for a 'consensus' #1 player who wasn't an ideal fit for them.

They just gave the Celtics two first round (most likely lottery) picks. Randle isn't valuable at all.
