McCollum?

Possibly but I highly doubt it. Either he thinks he can get equal value at #3 or he's trading for a top 10 player, and I would guess it has to be one who can score like crazy and rebound like crazy. So the list is short if he's making a trade for a player this week. Or he's just loading up for the future because he thinks Markelle isn't the best player available and can get such a player at #3.

Kings pick in 2019 becomes Sixers 2019 and 2021 if top 3.

It better be the better pick of Lakers/Sixers or Philly are just laughing. Fultz/The better player next year and the chance to still get a beast in 2019 with the protections..Ohh boy.

I despise Ainge for making this move unless Anthony Davis is the return.

Butler or George gets this team absolutely nowhere near a title

Dude, take a breath and try to think.

We just traded the #1 pick for the #3 pick, and the Lakers and Kings picks.

We have to wait to see what the protections are... but that's a better haul than we got for KG and Pierce.

Ainge had one valuable chip going forward in the Nets 18 pick due to protections on the Clippers and Memphis pick.

There's a chance he just double his stack or could of tripled it.

Until we know the protections we're not sure what it is, but even if it's just one of these picks unprotected that's a tremendous value trade.

It's okay to think ainge screwed up. We don't all have to buy into your dear leader ainge crap and criticize anyone who doesn't agree with everything he does.

No we do not. Ainge should actually never publicly comment on what he just did. He robbed BRK like nobody's business and he just double down robbed the Sixers. The protections matters but damn this is crazy.

GMChrysler, can you imagine if IT is going to be guarding Fultz 5x/year rather than playing with him? Popcorns!

Also: everyone talks about his shooting making him a DA type, but Josh Jackson is an animal on the glass so not sure he's the guy.

I know this is a stomach punch for some of you, but you'll get over it. You're mourning unrealistic expectations that would have never come true anyway.

I wanna see the full protections, but as a guy who wasn't enthralled with Fultz's fit on our current team, I think the reasoning is solid - get extra assets and get someone else with greater or equal value. Fultz is talented but not transcendent. His timeline of actually being the difference between winning or losing games in the playoffs is probably 5-7 years from now. We just have a different timeline.

My only qualm - and it's a big one - is that this move signals that Ainge has picked a direction (finally) and will be looking to resign IT and count on him as a part of 3 or 4 other All-Stars in his vet core. I don't think this is a smart bet. Short guards don't age well, especially with hip conditions which predispose them to labrum tears and arthritis. In terms of foundation shaking deals around draft time, the one I kept coming back to was IT to LA for #2 and D'Angelo Russell. Knowing Ainge, he'll get IT to agree to a reasonable deal, which at least will give him options if/when IT declines precipitously. Whatever his faults, Danny also leaves room for an escape route.

Still holding out hope that Lonzo matriculates this way...
The leaks are real...the news is fake.

So we can still be worse than the Cavs?

Not seeing the appeal of this flipping picks scenario to people.

All of you people calling 28-29 year old players old need to get a clue. This is the **** prime of their career. Plus we can keep Jaylen and still have 1-2 high lottery picks to add to this roster. This team wouldn't even be close to maxed out. First you take down Cleveland in the next 1-2 years and then its on to GS.

I have reading comprehension issues... did you just say that he just scooped the Sixers worse than he did the nets?

It's probably the Lakers pick top 3 protected else the Sacramento pick.
