The craziest thing is the 76ers used the 3 other highest teams picks against them to outbid them.

Pick swap (Sacramento)
Nash (Lakers) / Knight (Phoenix)
Stauskas dump (Sacramento)

= Fultz

It is funny (if you were not a Suns fan) that we traded IT for a late first rounder and because of that, traded that Lakers pick for Knight, and now that Lakers pick was instrumental in Philly getting Fultz. It's like Boston and Philly both screwed us to help themselves. But we do have Brandon Knight.

Hi ray ray been a while, how've you been? I'm still thinking McD does everything he can to get Ball and move Bledsoe. The lottery balls weren't kind so I don't know how he plans to pull it off. He'll have to work a lot of McMagic but imagine Ball with Issac or Tatum. A man can dream.

That's crazy that besides what I mentioned the Suns did, that Sacramento gave them the pick swap and the 19 pick to clear cap space, and if they didn't, Sac would have the 3rd pick and their own 19 pick. There deals sound worse until you realize they didn't commit $70 million to a crappy player after trading away what became an unprotected first of a bad team.

Sixers 3rd Overall, Lakers pick protected outside of 2-5, with the Kings 2019 pick if it doesn't convey. Not the haul I would have expected from the #1 pick...

I think Fultz is the only guy certain to go in the top 3. I think anyone else could fall to us at 4. I think if LA goes with Ball (or Fox), the Celtics could go with any of the three wings, and if LA doesn't go with Ball or Fox, I think the Celtics still go with one of the two wings left.

That is strange. No way if you stick to 1 having to be protected is it a turning point for Ainge. The probability is small, so Ainge should give in on that sticking point easier than the Sixers..if they have to stomach losing #1 next year because of that small detail Philly will ask for Colangelo's head.

Or, re-reading darealjuice's post, maybe I have that backwards. Either way, it's good for Boston, unless Fultz becomes a superstar and the two picks they get end up not being close to stars.

Either pick 2, 3, 4, 5 in 2018 or
Sacramento 2019

Both look great, I can see the attraction if Ainge wants a SF this draft.

Surely Boston only does this if pick 3 has a certain outcome like Tatum or a trade in place for Butler.

If Jackson cancelled on them I don't think he's part of the equation.
