And we are in the situation of having to decide if we want the Lakers or Sac pick and having to root for Lakers wins or Losses as a result for that.

With that headache I think it's time I try to sleep again.

Wait, are we back to selecting Jackson and not moving the pick for established stars now? Yikes.

Even then it might be a failure, if fultz turns into a john wall level player. You can't get wall for butler or pg and #5 next year.

Wall had Boogie, Hayward, and Paul George picked after him. You're in good shape if you are good at eliminating the grenades in the top 10.

But favors was the 3rd pick. What I mean is that, you don't get to take everyone that was there at 3 and pick the best one in hindsight. It's more of a crap shoot as you go father down the list. Besides, none of those other players are as good as wall.

I am no insider but watch an inordinate amount of basketball and have an understanding of what Danny Ainge values in a ball player and saw this coming from a mile away. Josh Jackson is all Danny Ainge.

Now Ainge may jerk me now too but understand for everyone who has been pumping Fultz stat line all season and ignoring the fact that he couldn't beat ... well you know. Danny Ainge had the same stat line and owned.

 game recognizes game -- or lack of it. Fultz lit up Yale and lost to them. Jackson helped knock off Kentucky and Baylor when they were both ranked in the top 4 nationally.

Fultz had enormous stats because his team sucked.
Jackson had really good stats even with National Player of the Year Frank Mason Jr. playing the role of Markelle Fultz on that team.

Jackson and Brown on the wings would be amazing on both ends.
And if the draft is flat then I guess they think Tatum's pretty much a 6'9" Fultz anyway and they might not be wrong.

THIS DEAL IS GOOD.

You have to look at actual skills though. Jackson will not score consistently in the NBA. He does not possess those skills. He'll be good in transition and on defense but he is not going to be a big time scorer. He just doesn't possess those skills. Plus he's a horrible FT shooter. He is a straight up role player.

This reporter is not legit IMO

He called Ainge getting hosed with one additional pick that is protected when Woj was claiming an extra pick too. I doubted him too, but he seems legit.

I'd rather have Lonzo Ball than Jackson anyway. Maybe Jackson will prove me wrong. Seems to me like there's a big drop-off from the two guards to Jackson.

We lack inside scoring.. Jackson will fill that gap for us and he has a decent 3, so he is potentially a two way threat imo.. Just need a 4 who can do that as well and we will have a very interesting season.

Jackson and Brown from the bench, moving the ball and switching from the perimeter to inside. Both can hit the 3 if you leave them open and when you get to close they will blowpast you, post you up or pass the ball away to a teammate who is open for the 3-pointer.

Ainge and Stevens know their stuff.. Just trust the process.

Cool. I am saying that I fully support this trade.

A highly likely future top 5 pick in return for taking a guy we wanted anyways?

I understand the logic.

What I don't understand is how Ainge values Jackson over fultz.

That's **** insane. Insane

I am a Fultz guy. But, Jackson was a guy who many thought was no. 1 coming into year. If Ainge wanted him, and we heard it, he got the guy he thinks is the best player.

No idea why Ainge feels that way, but take the player you want. Don't feel obligated to go consensus.

Yea just great.

We get the Lakers pick if the Sixers don't have 3 straight number 1 players on their roster.

I love that. No big deal danny.

He is a better prospect coming out of college than Wiggins who was the 1st pick. I will take that kind of role player

we NEED a PG and that is with IT4 healthy!!! I have beat the drum for a backup PG for seasons now!! IF WE DON'T GET ONE THIS YEAR I WILL SHOOT SOMEONE. Fultz could have been that dude and more. If we come back expecting if from Smart or Roze again, I will start drinking!!

Yes we're kind of accustomed to Ainge holding on to all his pics because he's unable to make a trade.
