I can understand why people like Tatum, but I still don't see how you pass on Isaac for him.

Well, if you are reading their forum, which I did last night, they were all completely sold on Fultz and don't want Jackson at all, outside of a few. So they don't know what to think. I think one guy mentioned Isaac, who actually might make the most sense for them given they have Brown and Crowder, if you don't see much difference in value between JJ and Isaac. Tatum makes sense too since too since they could use an offensive at the forward spot.

Or, maybe they pulled the trigger now because they have another pending deal in place for Butler.

From Philly's side, protecting 2-5 is good, though they should have kept 1 protected, but I would ultimately rather have 2-5 protected because the draft looks top tier near the top without a clear 1 as of now with Ayton, Doncic and Porter...and I think 1 or 2 others.

If they are healthy though, with Fultz, Simmons and Embiid, I don't think they finish in bottom 5. When Embiid played they were super competitive without those guys beating good teams. Interesting thought that Fultz and Simmons teams underachieved in college, at least based on expectations with a star, but obviously they could have gone to Kentucky, Kansas, Duke, NC and those questions wouldn't come up...though I guess they don't anyway since both are/were clear #1 picks.

Ainge said current backcourt played role in trade. IT, Smart, Bradley and Rozier. From what I read Jacksons workout wasn't that impressive in L.A. so I still think they take Ball. Imagine if L.A. passes on Ball and takes Jackson. Suns fans get excited then Boston drafts him and trades for 5 and 10. Suns are left with Issac or Tatum and Boston gets whoever is left between the two. Then right after the draft Danny says the guy they got at 5 was the guy had rated number 1 on their board. Good times good fun.

Waiting on the news. Would be very interesting but I don't know if LaVar allows that. If he comes here and hypnotizes McD he may cause him to make an offer the Lakers can't refuse.

Issacs potential is crazy! But , do we have that already issac with Bender? Both are same age and Bender is 2 inches taller.

He's not doing a bad Markieff Morris impression.

Drain open threes. Rebound. Defend all positions.

Tatum or Issac for me.

Edit: did I just say Isaac?!? Good job Ginobli!

Yeah, Isaac is much more exciting of a pick, but if he's gone, or McD wants Tatum, I could go for him. I'd rather have Jackson or Isaac though.

Maybe, but you don't pass up on Jordan because you have Drexler. Obviously that's not a direct comparison but I'm saying if you believe Isaac is the best player, you take him. Don't mess around.

That's not good. NBA players and potential draftees will not look kindly on that. Nor do I. Even if it's what you think, you certainly shouldn't be saying that.

Fultz putting up great stats on a terrible team. JJ's jealous he didn't get picked #1.

I know what you're trying to say but Isaac and Jordan coming out of college are on two different planets. Isaac is benefiting purely because everyone wants to find the next Giannis or KG and this guy is not either of those imo

I never thought there'd be a problem with Lonzo on the Suns had the Lakers lost their pick or passed on him. I had worries had the record order stayed out and we took him before LA. No issues with the Ball family if that's the case.

Suns are still the best fit for him regarding personnel. Besides, what's the closest NBA city to LA? It's only a 45 min flight on Big Baller Airlines.

Well of course it is stupid to compare directly...it was an example..but even Chicago was trying to trade the pick for a center..I think Tree Rollins or another center and two other teams didn't want to trade their centers either. Everyone makes fun of Portland, but 4 teams made a bad judgement call, or 5 if you want to count Houston, and the Bulls dodged a bullet.

They also saw Isaac. Or at least that's what Gambo said. I didn't verify it.

Yeah, seems like Jackson's character issues are overlooked a bit too much. I worry that he could be another knucklehead from Kansas.

I have no problem talent-wise with Ball on this team. I'm sure that if he fell we'd take him, and then I'd have to suffer through of people complaining about how his dad is going to ruin this franchise.

My biggest fear was that he'd be one of those guys who'd play for 4 years, then take is QO without even discussing an extension and find himself on the Lakers. But i think if LA passed on him, that would not sit well with him for a long time.

I think if LA passes on Ball, then he is a Sun

PHI - Fultz
LA - Jackson
BOS - Tatum
SUNS - Ball

If LA takes Ball then either Jackson/Isaac is a Sun

PHI - Fultz
LA - Ball
BOS - Tatum
SUNS - Jackson/Isaac

Lastly...IF the Suns are set on Isaac no matter what (but hint at either taking Ball/Fox), then i think there is still a possibility of the Suns trading with Sac. We could trade #4/future protected 1st or 2 2nds for #5/#10. We'd land Isaac and would use the #10 for BPA.
