Thoughts?

end of 15-16 season: ****. hm. mad that i can't quite tell who's in a better position.

going into 16-17 season: ben simmons seems great, but clearly we're gonna be way more 'in the mix' these next few years

They still look like sht. Problem is we look shttier, and we thought we could be good. It's better to know what you are, than to think you're something you're not.

Embiid looks like a beast, Ben Simmons is coming back, and they'll probably add a PG like Fultz or Smith Jr. in the draft...their future is a lot brighter than ours. We've got KP and nothing else.

Oh I know they have a better future. Said it all throughout the thread. They just need to trade Okafor and Noel, and they will be g2g.

i lost all faith in Phil Jackson, so I rather be in 76ers situation. thats right I rather have Brian Colangelo running the show. At least he would not be forcing the triangle down people throats.

I would trade rosters and management with EVERY other team in the league.

We have nothing to look forward to. They have Embiid and Simmons who can potentially be the best players at their positions in the near future. Not to mention Okafor, Noel, Saric and a plethora(yeah real word) of draft picks going forward.

However, Colangelo.

The Knicks f***ed up by not trading Melo during that nightmare 13-14 season when his stock was still reasonably high. We should have started the rebuild a long time ago. I probably wouldn't take anyone on the Sixers over KP (TBD on Embiid), but they've got more promising young players than we do.
And just like that, the lead has been cut to 8!

I'd rather be the Nets and Sixers, than the Knicks. Hell, the Nets look like by far the best team in NY, which is a nice window into how our first four games have gone.

Still take our future.

I'm just not a fan of their pieces like that. We can still start tanking and get way better pieces IMO.

Not only does Philly have a better future, but they have apparently have a better fan base that doesn't look to throw its young players under the bus.

They trust the process. They made the playoffs some years ago and didnt have any illusions about the team they were, meanwhile, half this board has the foresight and savvy of James Dolan and are upset with the other half of the board cause some of us don't have amnesia regarding the starfuqin. I dare any of them to go to Philly's board and ask them who they'd rather add to their team.

of course the sixers! How is it even close? The sixers are as good or better than us and have a billion assets on top of that.

The only thing that hurts the sixers is that they play in Philly and nobody wants to play in Philly. Stars are still stupid enough to want to come to NY

Why don't we do what the Sixers did?

We have more fans who want to rebuild than all of the other team's fans combined. What, the owners want to make **** impatient ass moves and than pin it on the fans when all of those fans were reduced to pleading for moves like Sam Hinkie?

This isn't a question. Sixers are by far in a better position.

i knew this would get bumped

at face value, it's really looking like the wolves and the sixers will be the ones to usurp the warriors and the cavs in the 2020's, but i don't know how the sixers core fits.

apart from the health question marks, simmons can't hit the broadside of a barn if his life depended on it and he needs the ball in his hands to be effective offensively, so i think that neuters fultz's development some, and of course embiid is going to need his touches as well.

if they can all develop well enough, they might end up like the baby heatles when it's all said and done.

as for us, i supposed we better pray Towns comes to join KP in new york, which is sure as **** seemingly even less likely than the crack pipedream it all ready was, considering the young core they have in minny.

KP is about to get ewing'd.

thanks for the half assed tank, philip.
