Would´ve been nice to have that Lakers pick if we could have made the same trade that Philly did.

Be funny if the top 4 all traded spots and ended up with the player they would have gotten anyway.
Was the report Jackson flunked the 2nd workout an accurate conversation with Givony or strategic leak to make it seem like they're set on Ball to up his price?
Also was his tweet post Celtics trade? Maybe Jackson's agent promise was from 76ers but only at 3 and he got butt hurt.

Re: 2017 Draft Discussion Part 3 [New Poll]
Boston trade is an interesting one. I guess that means they are 100% committing to IT as their PG.
Now, that would rule out Ball as their pick too if he wasn't already dogging their workout. They also have both Crowder and last year's #3 Jaylen Brown at SF so unless they feel that Jackson and Tatum are complementary to them, they are in an awkward spot here. And I feel Monk is too small to play alongside IT.
So I think that they either have to be making a play for Butler here, or if that falls through, have a further trade lined up, possibly with Sac for #5 and #10. The most logical draft targets for them as I see it are the best available PF (Isaac) and C (Collins) guys who they should be able to land with those picks.
Wild ride indeed.

Does anyone now why Fox canceled his workout with us?
Considering that the draft likely goes as originally planned of Fultz, Ball and Jackson, you would think that Fox would want to impress the Suns at #4.

Dunn did the same last year, PG rotation issues / reputation.

Just read about him starting a program for single moms ,and I had read in the past he was a gym rat.
He needs to use that work ethic on his defense because some draft metrics project him as the worst defender in the pros among top 5 draft candidates.

Jonathan Isaac freakish length and perimeter quickeness and agility is phenomenal. He's has the most potential but also can be the biggest bust potential.
Jayson Tatum scoring ability is amazing. He reminds me so much of a Paul George type of player.
One thing is for sure , McD track record says that we will get a good player.
Paul George was an amazing defender coming into the league.
Tatum is more like Marcus Morris/current Carmelo Anthony.

I think the Celtics are going to take Tatum at 3.

i think i'm leaning on the Celtics for now, after his rage on twitter.
IF Lonzo ends up in LA, we'll have a great opportunity to cash-in on Sacramento.
How will Suns cash in from Sacramento when they know Suns are targeting Isaac.... Kings want Fox.
You cant be sure about anything McD does, especially regarding backcourt players from Kentucky.

They are definitely trading that pick to Chicago for Butler unless something crazy happens. They are in win now and Adding Butler plus possibly someone else to an already elite defensive team puts them as the team to beat on paper in the easet IMO.

You pass on him because you only have 1 pick. You have to pass on someone. Either Isaac, Tatum, Monk, or Fox.....I guarantee one of those guys will be good. Can't draft all of them. Tatum offense is there. Issac 3D plus ability is there as well.
I just think it's between those two. It saying that I wouldn't be cool with Isaac, because I would as well.

FWIW, DX now has Tatum going to Cs at 3. Jackson to PHX
My personal preference:
Ball
Jackson
Tatum
Fox
Isaac

Issacs potential is crazy! But , do we have that already issac with Bender? Both are same age and Bender is 2 inches taller.
So true. And I never really consider this when I assess Isaac. If Isaac is first and foremost a 3, then he shouldn't be in the conversation with Bender and Chriss already on the team, because he isn't BPA, IMO.

Maybe, but you don't pass up on Jordan because you have Drexler. Obviously that's not a direct comparison but I'm saying if you believe Isaac is the best player, you take him. Don't mess around.
I know what you're trying to say but Isaac and Jordan coming out of college are on two different planets. Isaac is benefiting purely because everyone wants to find the next Giannis or KG and this guy is not either of those imo
That is how I'm looking at it. I am hoping Isaac is just like one of those guys, and if hope steers us wrong......

Chicago really prefers the No 3 pick instead of Fultz? Or is Ainge really going to trade the No 3 pick, Net's 2018 pick, and LA's pick for Butler? Quite a haul for a player that only has two years left, especially considering what the Kings got for Boogie.
Regardless, I think Bulls may want Tatum too, he'd be easier to build an offense around IMO.

How would the Celtics get Fultz? He's going to Philly.

Re: 2017 Draft Discussion Part 3 [New Poll]
Now I stopped visiting the Sixers' board and it's all about Boston. Ha.
I am a little more optimistic that we might get Jackson......he is so redundant with Boston's roster and he has some ifs about him that a team looking to be competitive like Boston don't need at this time.
I'm not going to get too giddy yet however. If we get Jackson..........man

I'm confused as to what you are asking.
I'm saying, why would the Celtics trade down from No 1 to No 3 if they were just going to trade this year's pick to the Bulls for Butler. Wouldn't the Bulls just prefer the No 1 pick?

Rumor was too much competition at PG on the Suns.

Re: 2017 Draft Discussion Part 3 [New Poll]
I think I am good with Tatum or Fox at 4. Jackson might have the talent but just not sure the mental stability is there. Can't have any more drama in the locker room. Need to move this process forward.
If you take Fox, that probably means you are trading Bledsoe I would think. Could the Lakers take Jackson second - that would be okay and than Ball probably falls to the Suns at 4.
Ball is still my top choice --
