Is Lonzo in play?

IF Ainge can acquire George & Hayward the Celtics are legit contenders. AND the Celtics potentially still have a top 5 pick in 2018 & 2019.

Lovely. Now we'll have 6 sfs?
GSW closed out Cleveland in the 4th quarter with Klay, Iggy, Green, Durant, and Curry. 4 of those players are between 6'7"-6'10". Three of those players are traditionally SFs. Patrick McCaw is another SF sized player who gets minutes for GSW. Livingston is a PG, but he is also 6'6".
Been saying for months..we need tons of wings. While GSW has 6 players in this size range, we have two (Brown and Crowder).
Hell, I wanted the Celtics to try to get George, add Hayward, and draft Tatum. Load it up.

Lets not forget the quotes of danny saying "we start to detirmine who these guys before we they even play a college game" its likely danny has felt this way about fultz for a long while.

JB is 20 dude
Crowder is traded
Hayward is a 2
#3 pick will not turn into a SF IMO
Better?

Whatever. Same difference. Besides don't lump in Hayward signing to justify the trade. Ainge worshippers will do just about anything to convince themselves that he never makes mistakes.

I just googled those names, what the F.
He's a grown man playing against kids. He looks like he's 20 already. What happens when everybody on the floor is his size?
I have no idea who those kids are, maybe you're right and Zion is the next MVP, but to be fair we heard the same thing about OJ Mayo, Harrison Barnes, Jarred Sullinger, Shabazz Muhammad, Nerlens Noel, Jahlil Okafor, Cliff Alexander, Harry Giles etc.. All top ranked players in the country.
High school mix tapes are fun but a lot of the times the next great thing becomes just another guy.

I seriously doubt it. This feels so much like it has to be Tatum. Why? Because that's the one player they probably could feel reasonably sure was going to be there at 3. You don't do this deal if you're aiming for Ball or Jackson, knowing LA is interested in both.
My guess is the pick is Tatum, with Jackson as the fall-back in the unlikely event LA picks Tatum. Or alternatively they could trade back to 5 and 10 maybe if Tatum is gone.

These players look entirely different than all of those guys

Trading a pick and young pieces for Butler or George. Which I think this move sets us up for.
The best moves this offseason were conservative. Take Fultz, sign a max free agent to help us be entertaining in the meantime.
#1 is a bird in the hand. No guarantees we'll be here again
So if Ainge lands George and gives up neither of those two top 5 picks or just one, are you good?
He's not giving those things up man. They are like gold that can let you go unicorn hunting (AD, KP) or draft one yourself. Not to acquire a George or Butler, cause guess what, that would have already happened.

Yup, he's probably been on top of the 2018 2019 drive for like three or four years. Hopefully that research pays off with a unicorn.

Re: All things Draft Pick. #3
The problem I have with this trade is I don't believe there is a follow up. Not George not Butler. On top of that i have sick of seeing Ainge burn picks because he cannot move them.
Still cannot believe the Wyc signed off on this trade. Takes a lot of balls to trade then number pick in the same division..

There
Might not be a follow up on Thursday. But free agency is going to be huge. We will sign hayward s, then trade for butler or George. To much EMO here.
The fans here are afraid to compete now. Never seen anything like it. They make wild pronouncements about how Fultz is a superstar top 5 player, and he guy we get at no. 3 is a poor man's justice Winslow. Give me a break. We'll win games and compete. We'll let the other teams do their thing.
And I was a guy who wants Fultz because I have an unhealthy obsession with scoring and shooting.

I never got the sense Ainge was excited about Fultz. In fairness that could be just me.

Let's slow down hyping up next years draft. Let's see how they all look during the college season first.

Re: All things Draft Pick. #3
I'm anxious to see what's going on here. It could be the beginning of a massive effort to consolidate assets for a veteran-run team: George, Hayward, etc. Or it could be the opposite: they're just hedging more while GSW and Cleveland dominate the league, and continuing to pick up high-level talent while pushing their window further into the future.
I'm guessing it's the latter and they just think their guy at 3 isn't much worse than Fultz, and that the move is worth another top lotto pick.

Any word on DSJs workout?
He is a guy that has all star potential. Problem for us is that he is another undersized guard, but he has an NBA ready game and maybe the best athlete in the draft. Reportedly a 48 inch vert in his Lakers workout.
Just wondering why no one is talking about how is workout went in Boston yesterday.

We might ends up with some lottery picks, and the next two drafts (2018 and 2019) are better than this year's.
2018 :
-Michael Porter
-DeAndre Ayton
-Mohamed Bamba
-Luka Doncic
-Robert Williams
2019 :
-Marvin Bagley
-Zion Williamson
-Moses Brown
-Kostas Antetokounmpo
or trade the picks for a Superstar (A.Davis, PG13, Butler, KAT...).
Wait and see
Exactly THIS. I'm a big Fultz guy myself, but I'm looking at the bigger picture and even if we don't trade for all-stars and just add one FA this offseason, I see 2017 #3 + one of Ayton/Porter/Bamba/Doncic/Williams or 2017 #3 + a legit shot at Bagley/Williamson in 2019 as having greater value than just Fultz by himself.
The trade gets even better if Ainge didn't consider Fultz head and shoulders above Ball, Jackson or Tatum. That 2018 2-5 Laker Pick or 2019 Sac unprotected pick is one heck of a haul in itself.
