You got any proof for that statement?

Thats just the word from guys within the program. Im an alum i still talk to some people. They said the chemistry was the worst theyd seen by far in their 20 years with the school.

DSJ had already announced if we made the NIT he would not be playing in it.

You think this might be a little unfair to completely attribute NC State's dumpster fire to DSJ? How do you expect the chemistry to be with a lame duck coach in a lost season? Great? Happy go lucky?

DSJ practiced with the team the year before this, was he murdering chemistry back then too? I'm only asking because clearly you were in the locker room more often than not to be able to make these damning accusations.

Lol. Clearly youre a big fan. Im just telling you the word from the program. It was gottfried and DSJ vs everyone else.

Sure there was resentment that hes a lottery pick but a lot of the resentment was justified by dsj being held to a different standard than everyone else.

It really manifested the 2nd half of the year when dsj went full stats mode and quit playing defense to hunt for rebounds.

It went nuclear after he blew a 20 point lead doing this against syracuse. Id steer far from this kid as he's the biggest bust candidate in the lottery in my opinion (id accept arguments for tatum as well).

DSJ had awfully good talent around him for a team that couldnt win a single game all year. And our defense was historically bad. Id take a flyer on this guy in the late first round, not the lottery. Empty. Stats. Guy. And boy did he crap the bed against UNC. He didnt even look like an nba prospect against those guys.

Hes got a lot more dennis Schroeder in him than russell westbrook.

@AdamZagoria
The Knicks attended the (Dennis Smith) workout, as did Charlotte, Dallas, Detroit, Miami and Minnesota.

Potentially interesting. That's every team picking 7-12 sans Kings, whom seemingly are locked in on Fox. Would be surprised if Minny takes him, and both the Knicks and Mavs really like FF as well. Could be a surprise slide.

Hmmm... what would a DSJ slide to 11 look like?
1. Fultz
2. Ball
3. Jackson
4. Tatum
5. Fox
6. Isaac
7. Lauri
8. Frank
9. Monk
10. Collins
11. DSJ

In order for it to happen, series of events
- Kings get Fox at 5, requires top 3 to go as planned at Suns to pass, taking Tatum (or Monk).
- Need Magic to pass on replacing PG
- Lauri has to remain in top 10. I'm growing increasingly skeptical of this happening.
- Kings, then aren't dumb enough to take 2 PGs, and go with Zach or anyone else (Mitchell, Kennard, etc...)

I just don't see the Knicks and Mavericks taking anyone other than Ntilikina and Smith. The Mavericks would have to take Monk over him and I'd be shocked if that happened.

Pretty much. Orlando is the key here, I think they're weighing Smith vs. Isaac. If they take Smith (or really anyone other than Isaac), then I think Lauri falls out of the top ten.

Minnesota wants Isaac, too, but if he's gone LM is the obvious fit. Maybe swap MM and FF, Monk just feels like a Knicks pick.

Then the Kings, after securing their PG at 5, take either a Collins or a wing at 10.

But there's gonna be at least one more trade before our pick.

Jason McIntyre ✔ @jasonrmcintyre
Great impression 36 hours before the draft: Dennis Smith overslept today, blew off media session. It all matters (via Jeff Goodman on TV)
2:25 PM - 21 Jun 2017

Not a glowing endorsement for a player who is already rumored to have a suspect attitude.

Kings won't pass on Smith even if they draft Fox. They will draft him and find a home for him after the fact. Cannot pass on his talent

He's lowering his value so we can get him, all part of the plan. In Cho we trust.

It sure sounds like it. Here's some last good vibes for DSJ to become a Hornet somehow!

I love Monk but we were so, so close to having our very own NC boy as a Hornet. :(
