Well Embiid said it himself last year. And I heard Bob Cooney say today that a player said Simmons is unreal in practice.

Simmons is a beast, but I don't have any expectations of him being better than Embiid. Ultimately, even if they were equal skill for skill, Embiid is much bigger, stronger and longer. That gives him a huge starting advantage.

With you there. Healthy Embiid's has demonstrated that his upside is the best player in the league. I couldn't imagine saying another prospect in the league is clearly better let alone his teammate. I hope it's true because we're coming for GSW then lol.

I don't know if mentioned. But during a 97.3 ESPN interview of Alex Kennedy about Fultz... He said he talked with Holmes regarding Simmons. The way Holmes talk about Simmons sounds like he's a surefire superstar. He said Simmons blew all expectations and he've never seen someone with that combination of athleticism, size and skillset.

I'm sure he did. Look at who were the beneficiaries of Ben Simmons in summer league last year:

Now add another great passer in Fultz.

It just occurred to me, now that we have Fultz, that Simmons will be great running out ahead of him on the break.

I was so focused on Simmons leading the break, and needing athletes to run with him, but when Fultz gets the ball, Simmons is going to be a hell of a finisher too.

Since when did Simmons become injury prone too?

As someone who spent the year working alongside Ben Simmons and seeing what he can do behind the scenes, what do you think of his game and how good can he ultimately be?

RH: Man, I’ve never seen anything like it, to be honest. To be 7-feet tall and be able to move the way he does and have that skill set, I’ve never seen anyone like him. And I think the thing that stands out most to me is just how hard he plays. Whether it’s a practice or a workout or a drill, he plays hard every second that he’s on the court. When you see his work ethic mixed with that talent, the sky is the limit. He could be that next generational superstar. He’s definitely special.

My favourite 2 Ben Simmons plays that highlight how amazing his talent is... are highlights from 2 games people have rarely seen because they were from a scrimmage from 2 years ago and then the All-American game the next day It shows though how amazingly quick he is for his size in the open court. It literally looked like Usain Bolt... and some of the ball handling and passing was unbelievable.

The 1st video the highlight at 0:35 where he blocks a guy's shot... beats an opponent with a behind the back dribble... burst away from another guy and then delivers a magic johnson bounce pass in the open court.... going to be so damn fun to watch in a 76ers uniform.

The 2nd video is my favourite Simmons highlight of all time.... at the 3:29 mark... he outrebounds a guy... burts away from his opponent in the open court... and with 2 defenders in front of him feins a turn with his shoulder and bounces the ball in such a way ... that he makes it look like an optical illusion that he has bounce passed it to a teammate... but has actually bounced it back to himself... and the defender took it hook line and sinker... and he just dunked it. Even the commentators were confused as to what actually just happened.

You cannot teach basketball IQ and ability like that. You either have it or you don't.

It's gonna be ridiculous watching Simmons and Fultz in transition. The speed and passing should be incredible. Furthermore, Simmons is so versatile that he can adapt to other players skills, well. Brett Brown will be able to adjust lineups to match other teams, whether small or big.

When he is in transition, the first order of business for the defense will be to stop the ball, and that is going to be extra hard with the switching that will probably be happening at the same time.

He will jam it down your throats until you can stop him, and while that is going on, the slightest disorganization of the defense is going to result in layups and dunks for our other players.

Embiid's man will almost have to face guard him in those situations to just deny him the ball, which takes him out of help position, and rebounding position if Simmons keeps coming.

I think that the league will have a real adjustment period in the first few months like they did when Iverson first came into the league. They are going to have to figure out how they are going to defend it, and not everyone will have the personnel to do it.

The best game plan will probably be to try to keep Simmons from rebounding the ball in the first place, but that is easier said than done.

It used to be the book on Kidd. Keep him off the glass because once he gets the ball in that unsettled situation the defense has no good options.

As this dude gets stronger and bigger(which he already has), he's going to be a freight train to stop with a head of steam.

He was already elite at getting to the FT line at LSU. If he stays aggressive on offense, its gonna be might hard to keep him off the FT line.

You're seeming pretty salty on Simmons recently... I feel that you were one of his biggest advocates during the draft... Always saying there's no way they would select Ingram...'

What happened?

Nothing happened. Sometimes I joke that he is afraid to shoot. I'm not serious. But on this video I don't see the big deal in him dunking. So what lol. He didn't do anything special. He's 6'10. If there was a video of Okafor dunking no one would care lol. And I am still very high on Simmons and think he will win ROY. I still think he's a better prospect than Embiid and will show everyone this season why he is the best prospect in years. Simmons will put on a show this season. Can't wait.
