For 2009 I select Shane Battier:

Helps me spread the floor. Shores up what is already shaping up to be a dominant defense. All Defensive Second team in the chosen year. Will love taking open 3 pointers alongside MJ as well.

For 2002 I select Elton Brand:

Great all round game. Could hit a jumpshot and also score in the post. Was a good man defender and rim protector, and believe it or not finished SECOND in the chosen year in total Win Shares, all for a cool 12.6 FGA. Rebounding is often overlooked, but this guy was also GREAT on the offensive glass, which will greatly help our offensive efficiency.
