Yeah, Ntilikina is a poor shooter, ball handler, and passer. I don't see any reason to believe he is as good as Brogdon. Some of the same weaknesses as Brogdon, but with worse handles, passing, and a worse shot.
This post is so misinformed it's unbelieveable.
Which of those is he good at? I'm no expert on him, but his shooting numbers certainly don't inspire confidence in him becoming a good shooter anytime soon. And he doesn't appear to have smooth handles and has struggled vs. ball pressure according to DX. Not a guy creating a lot of offense at the levels of ball he is at right now, so hard to judge too heavy, but doesn't seem to have a lot of shake.
I guess the passing is the point you have an issue with. IDK, doesn't seem like an especially creative offensive player to me.
That said, his height/length may mean he doesn't need to be extraordinarily skilled to be effective.
He's already a really good shooter. He's one of the youngest players in the draft, can shoot from NBA range of the catch and especially off the dribble. His numbers in any competition back this up. His release is a bit slow and he doesn't always have consistent mechanics off the catch&shoot (he struggles with consistency in his lift of the catch) but other than that his shot is really good (and already falling at a great rate, not just potential). Especially the threat of being able to shoot over defenders off the dribble at 6'5 is very intriguing.
Ntilikina has the potential to be a very good ball handler. He's got some very advanced moves in his repetoire. He doesn't get to handle the ball much when he plays (Straßbourg don't utilize PG's the way the NBA does and he often played next to Walker especially at the start of the league) but that shouldn't lead you to the conclusion that Ntilikina isn't a potentially good ball handler. What he does lack is a degree of explosiveness - even after beating his defender with his handles he doesn't explode to the rim. But if you talk just about handles, he's at the least on a similar level to DSJ and better than Fox.
I don't have an issue with criticizing his passing, but it's probably around DSJ/Fox level (which is not very high for PG's). He makes the simple reads and makes PnR passes accurately and is unselfish in general but he doesn't utilize his length to get an advantage on angles. He also didn't show any plus vision even though in theory he should be able to see over the defense with his size advantage. Also by lacking explosiveness and not getting to the rim he's not generating attention and by that creating as much as the other PG prospects. So while his passing skills are not great but solid, he doesn't put himself in a position to make use of them.
