I don't think George is to concerned with the negatives going on with LAL right now. Seems like he is locked in to go there just to play for them. Something tells me Lebron will be heading west as well, and Brandom Ingram/Dlo may not be there when 2018 rolls around.

Speaking of Blazers, I think they should be going all in for him. If Dame, CJ, PG, Nurkic, and whoever would be a strong lineup.

That would be a lot of fun and very intriguing.

If I'm the Celtics I beat that package easy, and gamble on PG resigning. The team is already so good, he'd love our coach. Our fans would shower him with cheers like he's never heard before. Paul Pierce can get in his ear about growing up a Lakers fan but becoming a Celtics legend. The ability to offer him more money next off-season with his bird rights.

He'd have to be described more as "hell bent on joining the Lakers" rather than "prefer to join the Lakers" for me to be dissuaded.

Dame and CJ have both said they want PG on twitter in the last month.

That said, if a guy wants to go to LA in the shape it is in, this isn't exactly a basketball decision.

My thoughts, too. Pacers could take their 3 first rounders and one of their bloated contracts and get a jump on stockpiling youth for a rebuild.

I'd do Crabbe, 15, 20, 26 easily. Would do it without 26 too.

And then does Denver still have cap space for Milsap?

George/Milsap/Jokic would be a heck of a frontcourt.

I think you may be severely underestimating the impact of adding a top 10 player to a 50 win roster. 20 PPG in his sleep and elite defensive capability. This is guy a seamless fit and a starter on 30 teams IMO.

It's not like I'm adding him to cellar dwellers.

So? Im not. Theyd be really good, even historically great, as good as any Duncan Spurs team maybe. Doesnt matter. Theyd still be at a massive talent disadvantage to this Warriors team. Kawhi/PG is close to equal as a star duo to Steph/KD. But Drays way better than LMA and Klay is wayyyy better than whoever the spurs 4th guy is. So its still not close.

We can agree to disagree then.

Except your not actually saying anything. The spurs were already really good and PG is really good = theyre competitive. Look at those rosters and explain how the talent is even close.

This was my thinking. Pacers fan probably won't like Crabbe's salary, but I don't think you look at Crabbe being the centerpiece at all, but more as a piece to flip later when he's built some stock up playing starter minutes, and that's if you don't choose to keep him anyway.

I think you get all the positive assets you can at this point whether you have to take back salary or not. You have to flip from trying to build a playoff team to rebuilding.

Honestly if I'm the Nuggets, I'd even be willing to offer more if need be.

I may be a little extra touchy about this because of the recent history of my team, but let the Pacers fans alone. Calling people out makes the board extra contentious, and it's contentious enough as it is.

I'm filing for divorce from the team that I have been a fan of for more than 45 yrs. If the team knew this was his position they should have traded him last year or at the deadline and not waited for him to be a little punk and make some public proclamation! If they didn't know why, not?

I'm may not watch anymore NBA basketball at all. Due to the fact that it is rigged, clearly the lottery was rigged and has been for years going back to 1985 when Stern pulled the envelope with the turned corner and handed Patrick Ewing to the Knicks. Today we see star players like LBJ get away with murder on the court and the foul is either called on the other teams player or on some scrub like Frye or Richard Jefferson so as to not get the TV draw in foul trouble.

Face this game is a joke now.

PG in Portland would be so fun to watch. I hope he ends up there.

I bet Boston offers #3 and whatever future draft consideration they can get for Bradley, contingent on signing Hayward (which I bet they do with George on the way).

Cleveland can't get a better package for Love, I doubt LA comes to play. Denver, Portland and whoever else can't compete with that offer.

Thomas/Rozier
Hayward/Smart
Crowder/Brown
George/Room Exception
Horford/Zizic

That team creates the same problems for Cleveland that Golden State does - Thompson can check Horford, LeBron can check whoever, but who does everyone else guard? Plus Boston can rotate a stable of strong perimeter defenders on LeBron and Kyrie.

Favorite to beat Cleveland, punchers chance against Golden State... Plus either two high picks in 2018 or the assets for a godfather AD offer.

As a Blazers fan, me too!
I get the big risk he walks in a year, but if it's 2 picks and a starter, to go along with the rumor, say it is 2 of this year's picks and Harkless? Then you hope you can make a WCF run and convince him that you're on the cusp of something(something other than a 200 million dollar pay roll :D )
I take that risk. I think you can do a good job convincing him to stick around, and worst case scenario, we had one really fun(most likely) season, and you otherwise still have your core in tact.
