I wouldn't think so, either, BUT..we worked out Isaac twice, and Jackson not at all.
Isaac shut down his workouts after our 2nd one and said he wasn't working out for anyone below 4.
We only watched Jackson in Sacramento.
We didn't bring him in to do all our tests, shuttle run, etc, which seems like for McD is a HUGE part of it...they make it so hard to see who will give up.
Now you can make assumptions like McD would say "Oh, I watched him in college...he wouldn't dog a workout and our tests...he'd be great" but I just don't really see it.
I kind of had this gut feeling BEFORE the Woj stuff was posted here. None of the above makes sense. Unless Jackson just didn't want to come to Phx.
Many things just don't add up in my mind regarding him. Now Fultz and Ball didn't work out for any but the top teams. But Jackson worked out for Sacramento. And perhaps we loved him enough after just that not to bring him in again, let him meet the teammates, and all that stuff, but there are a lot of ifs and questions.
Well, I still won't believe it until I see it. Ive watched a ton of Jackson this AM and I can't believe he would even fall to 4, let alone beyond that. He jumps out on film. No way! No way!

Heard Givony say there's a top 6 so this is my mock:
76ers - Fultz
Lakers - Ball
Boston - Tatum
Phoenix - Jackson
Sacramento - Fox
Orlando - Isaac

Lakers - Ball
Boston - Tatum

I won't believe anything until I see it, but ever since Isaac shut down his workouts after ours and said "I won't work out for anyone lower than 4" I have felt we might have given him a promise. Now I wouldn't be totally surprised if Boston took him either, and in that case I still think there is a good chance we take Tatum, since we also worked him out twice. And we didn't work out Jackson.

Isaac is slim but he could be a monster physically with his length. Fast forward down the road a few years...

The question is why would we want Love? Our target isnt into to be in the playoffs this year or the one after that so why would we mess up our development time with Chriss and Bender to bring Love in?

We did watch him workout though. Plus at the time we pretty much believed he wouldn't be there, as did he. Also, no need to test his motor, he is non-stop action on the court.

We shouldn't as it would be counterproductive. Only Bill Simmons thinks it would be a good idea. Besides Love has been and always will be overrated.

Really you are going to show Odom as a reason to get Isaac? Are you trying to tell us Isaac is going to marry a kardisian and then OD in a whore house?

Only reason i can think is so he goes all alpha male with us and raises his trade value so we can pawn him off on a contender pretender.

Love would derail our tank. Think Teletovic

No way the Suns trade Chriss.. the Suns value him and want to see him grow with Booker.

Bledsoe/Warren/Miami picks for #5/#10?
Our 2nd rounders? Sure.
Future 1sts.....eh...i dont know about that one.
Bledsoe/Buddy/Warren/Skal/WCS
Im just looking for a way to nail this draft. If the Celtics take Tatum over Jackson, i would like to find a way to get Jackson AND Issac. Would be also interesting to nab DSJ or Frenchy with that #10 pick too.
I was just thinking, Kings have been after Bledsoe for a while. They also have a major hole at SF with Gay opting out, and Warren should plug right in there. They also dont really have any veteran leadership, something which i think Bledsoe could provide them.
IDK, starting to get Draft fever like crazy, lol.
Haha; exact same wave length! This is a deep draft and Im prepared to go all in. More so than ever, let's go for broke and form a roster that just needs time and our yearly pick.
I know it's greedy and asking a lot, but with the assets we do have, I really feel if we're creative and persistent, it can be done.
I to want jackson, isaac and DSJ. We almost need to do so in that order. Maybe we need to create a thread with all the possibilities to pull off this amazing, but not impossible feat.
This would be our greatest draft ever and possibly the best multi player draft ever!
I would get season tickets the very next day if we pull this off.

Yeah, it's gotta be bogus. I don't even know what the people said we would be sending out to net us Love, but I imagine they could get a first round pick or two for him from someone to take him if they needed to move him. Plus, on our team he doesn't make sense anyway.
Salarywise too, Indy could simply trade for Love straight up, and there are teams out there (Houston, for instance) who would probably be willing to trade more for Love than us.
My hope is, at the end of this, that Cle and Bos scare LA into trading something for George, because they should have the most incentive at the end of the day. Bird Rights matter when you can attract FA's and they will be able to do that with George. We facilitate that deal and maybe add a sweetener of some kind to get something we'd actually want from LA.
I would just steer clear. We don't need any more bad contracts. If we draft a SF, and they won't trade a young guy, what could we possibly get? A 2020 first rounder? Not worth it. We don't need Nance or Randle. If they gave us D Lo maybe, but at the cost of taking on Deng or Mozgov?
I mean that would have to be it. D Lo and one of those contracts, and then we could trade Bledsoe eventually as well. But I don't know if they do it. With Ball they might if they like Clarkson at SG, but I think Ball/Russell backcourt would be exciting. D Lo is vastly underrated and had better #s than Booker this year (similar shooting, better at most everthing else). I think you know his value but many don't.
I would require D-Lo or add something for pick 2. Nothing else is worthwhile in any combination to take on one of those, and I say that as a guy who doesn't really care much about using our cap space in trades like this. We can add something more to facilitate (Miami pick maybe or a protected future pick). I don't see cap flexibility as a big need for us in the next few years though so I am happy to take on a bad deal for something that adds meaningful value to our core. Reason being the guys we would need to go after to be a part of our core are the age of RFAs, not UFAs, and thus the current team likely matches anyways. I wouldn't take on Mozgov or Deng for nothing, or even for a future pick, but I would for this pick now or D-Lo, and I think even if we had to add something else (next year's Miami pick) to do it it would be worthwhile. Essentially it's signing D-Lo for Mozgov's contract, and to me that is worth the trade.
We do need a few more vets, but we can sign an Elton Brand type for league minimum instead of going after the Joe Ingles's of the world. GIve me DLo and league minimum old man instead of Iggy or Ingles.
I know many may not want that type of contract and may hate having all of Knight, Chandler, Dudley, and Mozgov locked into 8 figure deals, but we aren't contending for a number of years and we aren't using that cap space to get somebody who is as good of a fit as DLo or whoever #2 would be (let's say Ball). I don't see the logic, for this team, in adding assets to dump salary or refusing to add bad salary if it comes with a core player who fits our age group.
DLo has been a rumored trade block member for years with LA, and while him and Ball is exciting, getting rid of Mozgov allows them to max out an FA of their choosing. If I am LA I would rather get my pick of Griffin, Hayward, maybe even Lebron by dumping Mozgov than keep DLo.

Bledsoe and Knight for Love I'd do but no way would I add #4, Booker, Chriss, Bender, Warren, Ulis, etc.
I'd prefer to keep these players and retaining Len and Williams! At #4 the Suns could Draft best available PG.
