ultimate role player/multiple all-defense teams/potentially DPOY if Draymond gets banished from the league

Plus they need shooting and I've heard a couple draft experts predict isaac to be the best shooter of the Jackson tatum isaac trio.

I don't trust his analytics then because he had plenty on Knightmare.

Bender is the ultimate role player, he can do twice as many things Isaac can. Super redundant.

Isaac depends on his ability to create shots, if he can't he probably tops out at a Demarre Carroll / Jae Crowder type level for defense with open looks on offense.

I'll be a little pissed if we pass on JJ for Isaac, but in the end I trust McDonough to make the right pick in the draft, whoever that ends up being. The way his coach raved about how committed he is to doing whatever helps his team win makes me think he might have more in his tank than he got to show at FSU. I think at worst he's going to be a versatile 3-and-D guy, which is still really valuable.

i guess it'll be a very lively war room if both are available at #4 (and the Isaac's love is real)

Per Celts board: Lakers are assumed to get in on PG trade talks if something appears to be going down.

I think They'll give up Russell, not Ball.

Ramona Shelborne says Jackson has a promise from Pho or Sac.

His agent is doing some good PR, he's going to be selected by every team in the top 5.

What's the issue with having multiple ultimate role players?

I don't disagree with you regarding their redundancies. Seem like almost identical players.

How is Isaac redundant when he's a defensive force and Bender is not?

Suns can go Isaac/Chriss/Bender front line which provides for a lot of length. All guys who can knock down shots.

If I knew Isaac was a SF first......then 4-5, I might take him over JJ.....but I just don't think so, however, he could have proved he was to our FO.

As been mentioned. An effective front court of

Isaac
Bender
Chriss

Would be very nice.

I think that's where my biggest worry is. On paper they should all be able to knock down shots, but it hasn't really translated yet for Bender/Chriss(still below avg 3 pt shooters), and we're gonna need 2 out of the Bender/Chriss/Isaac trio to turn into at least league-average marksmen from the arc if we have any hope of playing a Isaac/Chriss/Bender frontline IMO

solid managerial goal

If its Love for George - not sure another team is needed. Now, if the Pacers want to go younger and kind of rebuild, the Suns can help

To me, if I am the Cavs, I have no problem going for it one more year. Kyrie, George, LeBron, Tristan - that's pretty damn solid. Bogut probably re-ups for cheap. PJ Tucker maybe.

Why would the Suns help though? Love doesn't move the needle for us. He's good but that lacks all fit with our actual core, and to give Indy young pieces when what we should be looking for is young pieces and picks is not a good fit. Unless they want to contend now for some silly reason and value Bledsoe enough to give us Turner, there is no other young player on either team that we would want. Even Osman is not ideal.

If they provide virtually the same things and one is, as you say, a defensive force, then yeah there is redundancy between the two and one should be moved
