Cleveland has nothing to lose because Lebron is probably leaving the Cavs after next year anyways. Cleveland needs the Celtics draft picks to get a deal done.

The Love ship has sailed years ago. Not happening.

So the plan is Tatum+DSJ at 5/10?

You should be. It doesn't make any sense, salary-wise. Celtics will lose several core players just for salary-matching alone. Because of Love's high salary, we also lose max space for an FA.

Didn't say it would happen, just the rumors. If Kevin Love is being traded you can bet Ainge will be in the front of the line.

And I'm saying it's a terrible move that Ainge won't even consider it. It will deplete the roster without a huge gain from a competitiveness standpoint. There are maybe 10+ teams Cavs will approach first in a three-team trade scenario before they come knocking on Ainge's door.

Blake Griffin on PMT (a comedic sports podcast)

-Still recovering from foot injury. Slow process but it's feeling better.
-Only likes cold weather for a little bit.
-Host makes joke about him not wanting to go to Boston and Blake chuckled and there was awkward silence for a couple seconds
-Picks Boston 4 in NBA Mt. Rushmore Cities.
-Didn't like the story of people being heckled at a red sox game. I assume he's talking about Adam Jones.

I agree but someone will if it helps their team. Didn't the Mavs more or less help the warriors out by taking Bogut?

I'm wondering if this is what Ainge has wanted all along.

At this point, I don't hate it. Especially if you can get anything else out of Sacramento.

I don't know if DSJ lasts until 10, though. Definitely think Danny loves him and I'm surprised how hush we've been about Tatum.

Teams like Denver that have been out of the playoffs for a few years and have been itching to make a big move. They also have a lot of mid range assets they likely want to consolidate.

Saw somewhere in the past week that PHX is alleged to have promised Josh Jackson. I also think Isaac didn't do workouts for teams below 4. He did do at least one group workout, however. What is Phoenix doing? I'm more inclined to believe the Jackson promise.

I'll rephrase, a team like the celtics who are battling them for the east should NEVER HELP. The zeller help was when we sucked. No help for gilbert.

Oh I agree. Would be dumb for the celtics to help out the cavs when the Celtics are starting to get better. Doesn't mean some team out west won't be part of some three way trade to get George on the cavs. Hell Pacers may just flat out trade Geroge for Love.

Kind of damned if we do, damned if we don't right now on George.

If he goes to the Cavs, a 5% chance of beating them gets severely diminished.

If he goes to the Lakers, it shoots some of the value of the LAL/SAC pick.

Screw George right now lol.

I said before I was all about either Tatum or Jackson during the season. Really was intrigued by Tatum, especially if he could play 4. Before the lottery i start to go towards Fultz because of his scoring ability and I admit because people were saying he was the #1. But if the C's grab Tatum at 3 and some crazy luck end up with two top 5-10 picks next year I'll be ok with this move.

I'm not on the trade for superstar train right now. PG13 is way too risky to leave after the year and well I don't think Butler is worth too many assets.

"The Los Angeles Lakers are looking to acquire another first-round draft pick, potentially in the top 14, according to a report from ESPN. The Lakers currently own the Nos. 2 and 28 overall pick in the first round. The Detroit Pistons are said to be looking to move their No. 12 overall pick, and sources have told Amico Hoops the Pistons and Lakers may have already connected." -- AmicoHoops

They're likely using 12 & 28 as part of their offer for PG.

If George goes to the Cavs I hope the Cs just let Thomas walk and maybe try and trade Horford. Keep drafting and wait five years for LeBron and KDs super team terror era to be over.

I hope AD, KAT, Wall and other futures of this league aren't as big of puss puss and want to go after each other rather than join each other.

If he goes, Cleveland dominates for 7 more years. Their window will extent right into ours.

Not landing George, or him going to Cleveland specifically, puts our future title potential at slight risk

Julius Randle in exchange for 12? Or D'Angelo Russell? If they're taking Ball with #2 then Russell would seem to be not as important The Lakers have the pieces to get that pick if they want it, although if I'm the Pacers I'd prefer Russell or Randle over the #12 pick.

Their bait for 12 is only really Russell since they will be hanging on to Ingram. And Russell is part of that Paul George agency clique, I believe? Oh god, unless SVG thinks Clarkson is good. Maybe Nance+Zubac make inroads? Feel like they'll need those guys to fill the roster around their future projected core.
