Power wings are dominating the league. But passing on a guard whose floor is probably Damian Lillard just because you've already got a couple undersized guards would be a pretty shoddy decision. This is going to become obvious the first time IT tries to guard him.

People fall in love with Athleticism way too much. I don't think it can be overstated that Jackson is already a year or more older than most other prospects in this draft. Tatum may not have the tools to be as good defensively as Jackson but he's definitely a more complete and NBA ready offensive player. As for Jackson, well we see over and over again players with great tools playing poor defense in the NBA.

Ball to the Lakers is really what they wanted all along, the pick that Philly put protections on to Boston will most likely be used in another deal down the road I can guarantee that. Boston gonna make a play for Jimmy Butler and sign Gordon Haywood in July. Guys here doubting Zo and ready to label him a "bust" all this dude had did his whole life is win and was always one of the better players on his teams.

His talent is unmatched at the lead guard position and no one in this draft that plays point even comes close to his ability. Fox and Fultz are good but both lacks a little of what Ball has already. Fox is the better defender but his shot is shaky, while Fultz has the offense but is a marginal passer, not really a real play maker.

But Fultz should and will do well in Philly and Fox seems like he destine for Sacramento.

unless its a smokescreen. I think Magic genuinely was interested in trading up to 1 or taking Fultz (i mean it could still happen but i doubt it).

i think theirs a real chance he may end up in Boston. I could see us taking Jackson (i'm saying 60% Ball, 40% Jackson right now) just due to Ball not blowing everyone away.

If Jackson gets another workout for us and does really well i could see things change really quick.

Michael Lucky wrote:Yeah the 2018 draft only looks t be 3-4 players deep. Maybe that will change but I would also expect the Lakers to start trending up. So this deal for Boston is very dependent on the Lakers getting lucky in the lottery again.

Ayton, Bamba, Doncic, Porter, Sexton, then I would guess guys like Jackson and Carter could be wild cards based on their conditioning. You also have Williams and Bridges possibly moving up, you just never know though, just look at the drop Rabb took. I also like Mitchell Robinson, it seems like a much better draft for Boston though. I don't think the pick is so risky for Boston though, if anything they put the protections on perfectly. If L.A. ends up with the sixth pick or higher then Boston gets the Kings pick, which they might even prefer. Sac doesn't look like they're going to be much better in two years, they're still be extremely young and raw.

You really can't factor how a person's demeanor is like to evaluate their talents, well perhaps some do, but they really shouldn't.

Derrick Rose was infamous of showing absolutely no emotions the majority of the time, and at one point he was one of the best players in the league. T-Mac used to have relaxed, don't give a f*** type of demeanor either, until he'd explode past you and dunk all over your grill.

D'Angelo Russell if he plays with more sense of urgency probably won't be frustating to watch. It's a shame because i like his skillset. i hope Russell this year become more focused.

His shooting looked on par with Fultz's during his workout....

We also have hours upon hours of game footage of each (also on youtube) and hundreds of shot attempts to compare these few minutes and handful of attempts to. I know you were just seemingly comparing their workout videos, but seems odd to dig up a post about Fox just to seemingly compare it to Fultz.

Lol, it's just the few seconds of the commentary I watched annoyed me. EDIT: And admittedly I did get too uppity.

I watched the whole thing though and he made the point. 2 pages back on mine.

It would be hilarious to see what Lonzos dad would wear at Celtic games if Lonzo ended up there. Would he still rock his Lakers jerseys? Or just selfishly promote his brand built on the back of his child?

Draft...

Post#1898 » by BenSimmons4MVP » Mon Jun 19, 2017 4:31 pm

Some members of the young core that all could grow together:

Possible Sixers' Line-up if Ball goes #1 on Draft night:

PG: Lonzo Ball
SG: Robert Covington
SF: Ben Simmons
PF: Dario Saric
C: Joel Embiid

Thoughts?
Iverson2Simmons. Its 1996 all over again! :D
