#3 for #5 + #10 could be great.

Use #10 + LAL18 + some of our rotational players to trade for Butler?

Turn #1 into Butler + #5 8-)

screw it. trade down to #30 and 15 second rounders, and a 2037 draft pick, protected 1, 6-30, and if it doesn't land in 2-5, it converts to a packet of Taco Bell Diablo sauce and a cheesy gordita crunch.

which of these prospects eats the most chipotle? #followtheburrito

4 months ago, a #1 pick+++ wasn't enough to land jimmy butler. now, something that might become a 5 is supposed to be enough? especially after they were a healthy rajon rando away from man handling us in the playoffs?

So apparently the Suns have talked to us about moving up for one of Ball or Jackson

Phoenix trying to move up, talking trade with Boston and LA.

So Danny is trying to move further down? Like what's going on? I can't deal with these moves right now. I'm so lost.

Teams can agree on a trade on draft night and execute the trade in July. That way Celtics can use their cap space, and then send less salary and go over the cap if needed.

So what would a trade look like in that case? We sign Hayward and then trade Bradley, 3 and Rozier for Butler? Would that work?

I'm pretty sure that works, per CrowderKeg's prior posts...

I'm traveling today but my guess is once the news of #1 for #3 is made official, we will start hearing of Boston's emergence in Paul George talks. I feel it in my plums.

Sign me up but are we sure Hayward is the better fit with that team over Griffin?

I'd do it, pick up something to swap picks and nab Tatum at 4. Not sure what we could get out of the Suns though

Conspiracy Theory: Paul George has been angling to go to Boston the whole time...

-Says he wants to see IT most at all-star game
-Says he wants to play with Hayward
-Bird quits
-Informs Pacers of his intent to leave right after Philly trade

I love what Ainge is doing. Celtics FO clearly is high on someone who can be grabbed lower and they just accumulate additional assets while moving down to that spot. They will get their man + additional assets that can be used in trade for a star.

This offseason is crazy. And we've barely even started. Celtics right in the thick of everything.

Likely ending: Celtics stand pat. Bring back everyone including Zeller.

SAC at 5 we can assume they will make the wrong pick.

Sound like a great plan, however, Sac knows we are not drafting Fox. Our target is Jackson Tatum and Isaac. Sorry, but I think Sac sits back and calls either of our bluffs.

You don't need Fox and we don't. Sac is sitting pretty.

It doesn't matter that they know we dont want Fox. It's about if they have valid concerns about Phoenix wanting Fox at 4. that's what matters. If they have real worries about Phoenix truly wanting Fox, then they would need to leap frog Phoenix naturally. They have Boston select Fox for them and Boston lives with Phoenix selected Jackon or Tatum and they'll take the other of the two at 5 plus they get the 10. Maybe Boston has Jackson and Tatum ranked neck and neck and they feel both will be future allstars. It's anyones guess.

True. I would love that.

That's what I'm saying. Like what could they offer? We don't want players coming back..so like a top 5 protected pick next year? Rolling over to a top 4 protected the year after? Would they offer that much to move up a spot? Would that be enough for us to move down a spot? Does this somehow involve more assets in order to try and get Devin Booker? This has become such a **** show. It's rare to see so many teams trading or looking to trade out of top 5 picks. This year I feel like Danny booting the 1 pick has kinda made everybody else feel a little better about taking risks at the top.
