If Ball is sitting there at 3, we could hold an auction for that pick. Suns, sac-town and maybe even the knicks would jump at chance to get ball at 3.

That's what I'm saying. Like what could they offer? We don't want players coming back..so like a top 5 protected pick next year? Rolling over to a top 4 protected the year after? Would they offer that much to move up a spot? Would that be enough for us to move down a spot? Does this somehow involve more assets in order to try and get Devin Booker? This has become such a **** show. It's rare to see so many teams trading or looking to trade out of top 5 picks. This year I feel like Danny booting the 1 pick has kinda made everybody else feel a little better about taking risks at the top.

For reference: Suns have their own 1sts from 2018 to 2024. And 2018 MIA 1st, protected 1-7 plus 2021 MIA 1st unprotected.

I'd do 3 for 4 and the 2018 Miami pick. Probably 3 for 4 and 2021 as well. And use them in trades for PG or Butler, or whoever we havn't thought of (AD).

As would I. Strangely enough I've had it exactly how the Celtics did for a few months. Fultz > Jackson > Tatum > Ball. I like Jackson but I've warmed up to Tatum being a stretch 4 at the next level

The whole article reads like speculation more than anything else.

Dude, Deveney slapped a "league sources told Sporting News" in there and now it sounds legit!
Same guy who was almost sure Griffin would end up in Boston last season lol. I still can't discredit him though. I need my sauces.

Can't imagine Blake agreeing to a double-sign-and-trade where he ends up in Indiana. Can't see Doc and West trading DJ, and would Indiana even want him with Myles Turner. Would the Pacers want Reddick? Nope. Rivers? Lol. Draft picks? They won't have much to offer. I don't think they have enough firepower to pull off a deal.

Doc Rivers is desperate. Doc could have Griffin, Paul and Redick all leaving this year.

Knicks fan here, I come in peace! Personally, I don't want to trade Porzingis. However, in the event that the Celtics and Knicks have had discussions that have been kept under wraps, would this trade be realistic?

Boston sends:
- #3 pick
- Sixers' rights to the Lakers' 2018 pick if between #2-#5; otherwise, Sixers' rights to the Kings' 2019 pick
- Avery Bradley
- Jae Crowder
- Tyler Zeller
- Either Terry Rozier or Jaylen Brown

New York sends:
- Kristaps Porzingis
- Carmelo Anthony
- Two among either Marshall Plumlee, Chasson Randle, and Maurice N'Dour

Yup, but he has nothing to offer up in a deal. Look, I'm desperate to bang Rihanna, but I'm sure she could probably do better than a 40-year old guy with 2 kids, making $60K/year.

Double sign and trade becoming reality?

George to LAC keeps him away from both the Lakers (this season) and Cleveland.

And who has LAC's upcoming draft pick and a great landing spot for Blake?

I know!

Until he trades again for protected picks in 2019. Story will be Boston "wasn't sold" on the top 3 and wanted to draft a guy whp can't shoot.

No thanks. Porzingis is a fine player but we don't need to give you 2 of our best assets (the picks) + Bradley, Crowder to get him. I won't even get into adding J Brown to the deal.

Let's be real, this is crazy. Doc knows he's got one shot, attract LeBron next summer.

Fultz is simply too tall, and too good a shooter for Ainge

Holy cow. That is an Anthony Davis godfather type offer for Zinger and Anthony, who might be looked at as a slight negative due to contract.

You want two top 5 picks, our no. 3 last year, and then two starters, one an all-NBA defender, off a 53-win team that has made 3 straight playoffs appearances on great contracts in their prime?

Holy cow.

I'd be into this after FA if we land Hayward. No thanks on the other 3 dudes, just give us KOQ. I'm down for Baker too.

IT/Smart
Hayward/Tony Allen? Probably some defensive min guy.
Melo/Jaylen
Porzingis/KOQ/Jerebko
Horford/Zizic

That being said you'll probably get a bunch of no's from other celtics fans. Porzingis is far More valuable than #3 IMP though

Pozingus a top 4 pick that isn't yet an allstar, but could very well be an allstar from the looks of it. I will give him that much. But this is where it gets lousy and gets lousy quickly. Our 2017 3rd pick, is considered a future allstar by all draft analysts. Jaylen Brown is considered possibly a future allstar at the 3rd pick last year. I'm 50/50 on him but the kids got promise. I wont discount that possibility. lastly He want the Lakers pick 2-5 next year which is going to be an allstar. So lets fast forward 5 years into the future He wants to trade 1 future allstar for 3 future allstars? These guys are nutz with their homer trades.

I actually think that's close to fair value, but with Carmelo coming the Knicks would have to pay extra - like send the #8 back - or else not get the second pick. Carmelo has negative value to the Cs, because he kills their cap space. So he's actually a cost, not an asset.

Also, Brown can't be in the deal under any circumstances.

Return to Boston Celtics
