Young was like the 17th pick. What are the historical expectations for guys in that slot? He missed on the pick for sure but it's hardly a crisis. I'm sure you don't want to hear it but Ainge pretty consistently drafts guys who outperform the expected production for their draft slot.

The consensus pick on draft night was Rodney Hood, who turned out to be a fine player. Danny opted for the younger, shiner toy.

Hood has turned into a dud. He started out strong, but has become a volume shooter. He's only a .415 career shooter and looked horrid in the playoffs.

Don't sell yourself short bro..you can bag a HELL of a lot betteer than Rihanna making 60k a year. Take a trip down to Colombia or Argentina and you'll drown in hotter females. I kid you not. I won't even mention Brazil because that's fishing with dynamite..lol

Thanks, but I forgot to mention, that's Canadian currency.....so it's like $200 US with the way our currency has been trending. If I ever roll to Brazil, I'm hitting you up though.

The third pick isn't that bad in a loaded draft. It looks like Ainge might select Jackson and he has the tools to be an all-star in this league. We'll know more in two or three years who is a bust and who is not.

There's no doubt that he was a better pick than Young in retrospect, but Hood always had a higher floor and lower ceiling. Young had potential, but no heart. Some NBA players lose interest in basketball after they get their millions and fame from their rookie contract.

The Phoenix Suns have discussed a trade to move up in the draft with both the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics with sources saying Lonzo Ball is the target.

The Suns also have interest in Josh Jackson, who may also not reach them at No. 4.

Phoenix has multiple future first round picks from the Miami Heat.

If Ball and Jackson are unavailable for the Suns, they are likely to decide between Jayson Tatum, De'Aaron Fox and Jonathan Isaac.

So it seems that everybody is talking to us to move up in the Draft. What can the Suns give us besides nothing? I don't want Brandon Knight and neither Eric Bledsoe, so they'll send us the 4th pick and Tyson Chandler to kill our Cap Space? No, thank you.

No.

So it's (the pieces we got for) this year's #1, plus Crowder, Bradley and Rozier, plus we eat Melo's contract for the Knicks.

You won't get a lot of support for that year. Dumping Melo on us is the real deal-killer.

That's a lot from Boston's side. I wouldn't touch that.

Holy cow. That is an Anthony Davis godfather type offer for Zinger and Anthony, who might be looked at as a slight negative due to contract.

You want two top 5 picks, our no. 3 last year, and then two starters, one an all-NBA defender, off a 53-win team that has made 3 straight playoffs appearances on great contracts in their prime?

Holy cow.

It's really not that bad lol. Porzingis is worth more than the #3 pick, and anyone doubting that is a blind homer. Ainge clearly would take Kristaps #1 in this draft given he dealt away Fultz. Dude also gave us an option to replace Jaylen with Rozier, who no Celtic fan has an issue including as a secondary asset.

value wise, knicks are getting more, but that's the cost to get a young big with superstar potential with 7 years of team control left, especially when there are
0 elite bigs on the market.

I get Melo isn't everyone's cup of tea, but Carmelo as a 3rd/4th option could be a quality, efficient player. If there's a way to make contracts work without Zeller after FA (meaning we get Hayward), this puts the celtics in a really good spot. Porzingis and Jaylen is a nice core to build on, with the 2018 Nets pick still on tap, and
A team that can challenge the cavs and have a fun year

Would I have traded the #1 for Zinger? Nah, but we don't have it anymore, and the return we got for the pick is defitantly worthy of an offer to the knicks. Give us KOQ instead of those other scrubs though

Or save the extra cash and just go to Miami. That's fishing with dynamite. It's an international convention down there!

The Suns have tons of non-premium picks to offer. Plus, we'd get a very slight benefit in having to pay Tatum less money.

One of Crowder/Bradley and George to LAC, Zeller and spare parts to Indiana with LAC and Memphis pick.

KO and other spare parts to Utah.

Blake and Hayward to Boston.

Boston keeps all it's top five selections and gets 2 all stars. Plus the east gets wide open after LeBron goes to LA next summer.

Very good outcome.
