Guys I like more than internet consensus:

Zach Collins
Patton
Hartenstein
White
Bradley
Thornwell
Kaba
Brooks

Guys I like less than internet consensus:

Fox
Mitchell
Bam
Allen
Giles
Wilson
Ferguson

I'm more or less down the middle with everybody else.

Why Mitchell?

I might be wrong on this, but in my quick read up on Giles, he seems like a less skilled, recently injured Thon, which nullifies a lot of the intrigue of Thon.

Offensively he's kind of a guard version of JA. Built to go to the rim but gets out of control despite his strength, struggles if he can't dunk, generally plays below his athleticism. He's got a lot of do-nothing dribble moves and seems uninstinctive getting guys on his hip. Lots of East-West stuff. Take a ton of jumpers, contact shy. I think he's a try hard guy and wants to make the right play, but I don't think he's got the instincts/feel/body control to fully take advantage of his athleticism. I would like to be an optimist and say he's like a mini Norm Powell on the next level.

Defensively, I think he's going to be fine, possibly really good (even though right now he is utter garbage at navigating ball screens, which is pretty important), but I think we need to dream bigger than a 6-2 3&D guy. Still have him at 23rd overall.

Take it for what it's worth being nabadraft.net and all ... but since the conversation on Bam and Giles is hot right now, thought this comparison was timely.

Mock drafts as of today

DX- Harry Giles
Ford- Ike Anigbogu
Tankathon- Donovan Mitchell
NBADraft.net- Bam Adebayo

Personally I think it'll be Adebayo or Jarrett Allen. Though Ford has usually been pretty good about our pick this close to the draft

Whoops. Forgot Frank while I was running through it. I have have no idea where to put him. European guards have been just so awful the last handful of years. Maybe they are due?

based on the floor comment during todays presser my guess for the Bucks pick is Justin Jackson.

Would be a good but unexciting pick.

I'd be fine with Jackson. Not my first choice but I think he'll be a solid player in this league for a long time

I don't want another Tar Heel on this team for the simple fact that he'll form a bond with Henson and Henson will ultimately tell him all you have to do is smile and eat Chipotle and you'll get a big payday.

Is Jackson a t-shirt under jersey guy too? No more drafting those. Weakness.

I would be disappointed with Jackson at 17.

I still think that if you look back at this draft in 2 or 3 years Dennis Smith Jr is the best player. I really don't want to move Middleton but if we can get Smith and a nice guard I'd probably do it it. Orlando is probably our best trade partner as the have #6 and some intriguing guards like Hezonja, Ross and Fournier. A Package of 6 and one of those guys would probably seal the deal for me.
