Take it for what it's worth but a beat writer for the Suns Gambo said the clips contacted the Suns in regards to DeAndre Jordan. Does anybody know anything about this?

Are you referring to John Gambadoro? I don't believe he's a beat writer as his Twitter account describes himself as a 20-year "afternoon drive Sports Radio Talk Show host on Arizona Sports 98.7 Phoenix, Arizona". While it may be the flagship station of the Suns, D-backs, Cardinals and ASU, it doesn't necessarily mean he has the credibility of a beat writer. Vic "The Brick" Jacobs is a long-time local radio personality in the L.A. area but he doesn't have the same credentials as Dan Woike did as a former Clippers beat writer. Still, I appreciate the tip.

So if the Bulls trade Jimmy Butler to the Celtics, does D Wade still opt in to his contract, or does he become a free agent and sign a two year deal with us, prepping for "Team Banana Boat"?

That statement would still be true even if we did have $20M.

PG-13 Dream Sequence
I'd like to think that we have a shot at trading for Paul George, especially in light of his announced intention to play out the upcoming season as a rental with his aim at moving to Los Angeles along with the official hiring of Jerry West to our front office. While a deal looks to happen soon possibly even this week, Doc's position still seems secure with the Clippers and I have a hard time believing that he'll accept a trade for PG-13 given that he cheated on this daughter, Callie, previously.
The aim seems to be going after LeBron James next offseason just as I've expected, but it would certainly be appealing to have George even as a rental because his departure would free up cap space to pursue LBJ after 2017-18. I'd certainly welcome trading DeAndre Jordan to make this happen since I've been advocating to deal him for some time now. If LeBron were to be interested in joining the Clippers next year, he could possibly even convince Paul George to stick around in a Clippers uniform.
Again, all of this doesn't look realistic but with teams including the Lakers reluctant to part with long-term assets to acquire PG-13 as a rental, we may be presented an opportunity to get a superstar-level talent at a cheap cost albeit for possibly only a single season. Maybe Paul George could personally give Callie a heartfelt apology to smooth things over for him to join his favorite team growing up. Here's to hoping, anyway.

I really couldn't care less if he cheated or not. If there's an opportunity to add PG to the team you do it.

While I'm personally concerned, I do recognize that most NBA players partake in this particular transgression just as they do smoking weed whether it's legal or not. However, it doesn't matter what any of us thinks, but it most certainly concerns Doc,
who I'm sure still has a big say in whether or not we actually pursue Paul George.

Yeh I recognize that. Still feel Doc should do it if the opportunity presented itself. Not like we have the assets anyway, apart from DJ. Thought PG just wanted to play for either team in LA, guess not as he's forcing his way to the Lakers specifically now. Everything is happening around the league at the moment. Can't really do anything until the dust settles. Butler might even force his way to Cleveland with Love going to Phoenix. If that happens the Celtics might as well facilitate the trade and take Love.

Apparently, the Clippers have called the Pacers about Paul George. I wonder if they had serious intention to aquire him or are making cursory gesture. With Jerry West aboard, I suspect that they're doing their do diligence as the tweet below states.
Now the Lakers have made a long-term play at bringing together Paul George and LeBron James for themselves by trading for Brook Lopez's expiring contract and the #27 pick in the 2017 draft. The cost to unload Timofey Mozgov's contract along with the pick was D'Angelo Russell. The kid may have some immaturity issues but I've been a fan of his since before he attended Ohio State University.

Sean Marks is doing a great job with no assets.
Just another hook in the line for the Lakers to deal for George, which I always thought they would need to do. Cavs talks should heat up now, with pressure mounting on both sides to pull something off.

Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

I love Evan Turner's humorous tweet below.
Now with Jimmy Butler informing the Cavaliers that he'd rather stay in Chicago, you have to think that Cleveland will now ramp up its efforts on Paul George.

DJ-for-Drummond Rumor Circulating
I used to advocate for trading DeAndre Jordan for Andre Drummond in water cooler conversations but is still owed about $25 million per season for the next 3 years and has an option for a 4th year for just under $29 million on top of a trade kicker.
Let's just say I'd prefer pursuing other options in trading DJ right now, though I'd revisit afterwards.

What a useless trade that would be, DJ is better than Drummond, and Drummond makes more money and is locked in for 4 more seasons.

Clippers Buy Into the Second Round to Draft Evans, Thornwell
Frank denied the Clippers had been shopping Jordan, even though several league executives who were not authorized to speak publicly on the matter said there were discussions about a deal for Jordan that went nowhere.
...
But the big news of the night was Frank saying the Clippers “never, ever dangled” Jordan “out there” in trade talks.
But according to one executive, the Clippers talked to the Pistons about swapping centers, Jordan for Detroit’s Andre Drummond. But the executive said Detroit’s owner nixed the deal because he wanted to keep Drummond.
The Boston Celtics, Phoenix Suns and Minnesota Timberwolves also had discussions with the Clippers about Jordan, according to the executives, but none of the teams were willing to give up first-round draft picks.
