I believe the lack of player development comes down to the players we've always had here

Do you credit the Spurs for Leonard's development? How much is on the organisation? How much is on him?

When SJ was drafted the talk was he had all the intangibles money cant ruin:

Wanted to take on the best

Was confident that if he put the work in he'd be able to stand toe to toe and box with God

Was a gym rat you'd have to kick out of the gym

So what went wrong?

SVG has said SJ doesn't come ready to compete in practices...will always compete in real games though

After 2 seasons though SJ hasn't improved much offensively or defensively and whatever little improvements he's made hasn't been enough to get off the choker chain

So either all the scouting was wrong on SJ or the organization has failed him

With Dre his lack of fire was why he dropped...how you light that is THE most important thing we have to do as a franchise

RJ (in interviews) comes off as a "me against the world" kind of guy - which isn't a death sentence since you need to have that attitude to succeed at anything...but as a organization we've failed to get RJ to buy into the "me" being the entire roster and not just himself

I've believed for a very long time that the mental make up of players is the real key to making a team actually work.

You need the quiet leader, the locker room joker, the big brother/father figure, the big gun that holds everyone accountable etc on a squad to make it work

And our rosters since the Going to Work era have only strengthened that theory

I also like the work ethic and overall lifestyle of Harris. People should do whatever they want during the off time, but while a lot of players seem to be only interested in fast cars, beautiful women and the likes (which is fine, don't get me wrong), Tobias seems to also enjoy simple things like hiking and exploring the world. Dunno, I get the vibe he's a good guy overall.

Why foam at the mouth? Winslow made it clear he didn't want to be here. He could be the next Paul George and I'd pass on an unproven player who is picky about where he goes.

I never read that... The more you know :)
