Russell is a stud and would be an all-star the way he is developing.

Pick 4 for Russell is worth it IMO... but Suns got to trade Bledsoe.

Ulis is a nice player but he just wont be the PG that is required next to Booker, who is a bad defender.

They seem to be selling low. If we could somehow pry 5 and 10 from Sac by pretending we were taking Fox or Jackson (whoever falls) and I imagine we'd have to throw in either a future first or 32 and a player or something it would be nice to take Isaac at 5 (or whatever SF is there) and trade 10 for D Lo.

Or, if Bledsoe can net us 8, 9 or 10, we could just basically flip him for D Lo.

Yeah I just read they are just looking at top 12. I wouldn't move #4 for him. That's selling #4 too low. I like your approach of grabbing the pair of Sac picks and moving one for DLo

What about trading Bledsoe for 8-10 or perhaps 12 or 13 and getting D Lo with that?

I'd do it. If we were to replace Bledsoe, I rather it be with DLo than any other PG in this draft outside of Fultz.

Yeah. I'd even do Bledsoe and next year's Miami for whatever the top 12 pick LA is trying to get is, but I like Russell more than most. Getting Russell at the 1 and then adding one of Jackson/Isaac is a hell of a week for our core.

Yeah, as much as I don't like helping LA, they probably get George next summer and we need to better ourselves regardless, and a competition as young teams growing would be interesting to see, and D Lo would have that extra motivation to beat them and I think would fit in with our players well.

Russell is a terrible defender too. Him and Booker would get roasted nightly.

Looks like Suns could draft Jackson/Tatum at 4 and trade Bledsoe to Detroit for #12 and Jackson. Then flip 12 to LA for Russell if Collins or Kennard are still on the board.

Russell is atleast 6'5... Ulis could try his very very very best but taller PGs will just shoot over him... he would need to bulk up like CP3 to be able to atleast be a hound pesky defender but that would affect his quickness.

Russell is better than Booker as a defender.

Russell is atrocious defensively, saying he's better than Booker is like saying eating mud is better than eating dirt.

They are young. And both have shown insane potential offensively. Young players have holes.

His numbers are better, and he is also one of the most promising young players in basketball, as is Booker.

Yeah it'd be Portland South. If Ben, Rasheed and Tayshaun were behind them I could buy into it.

Right, but we gotta defend too. I'd rather take your boy Isaac than trade for DLo, and I'm no Isaac fan, but he's at least a defensive addition. I fail to see how adding DLo helps this team. Unless you think pairing him with his BFF will suddenly turn him into a defender.

There's no reason we couldn't do both, and players improve defensively. It's not as if players walk into the NBA as elite defenders. Russell isn't even old enough to drink for god's sake. In most decades he would still be in college and not the NBA.

Sure, Russell could be a good defender, but how often are big combo guards who are only average athletes at best with mediocre lateral quickness ever good defenders? Neither Booker or Russell will ever be able to defend a PG, I dont believe either are athletically capable.

100%.

Russell
Booker
Jackson
Chriss
Bender

That's legit. Might not be the '07 Pistons but they should be able to guard pretty well with that front line.

I wouldn't trade 4 for Russell but if the Lakers are looking to move him it's an intriguing target. As others have mentioned the thought of a russell booker backcourt is cringe worthy bad defensively.
