Just curious, what other logical offer could Magic be offering for that second lotto pick? Sure aint Randle.

Why would you blast him on your team hosting a workout?

Was that a snide, disrespectful, needless comment about the Kings?

Guy was just talking about a subject

Personally I wouldn't trade 10 for Russell. Guy lacks motor, and is a tweener.

Yeah, I suggested earlier if the Lakers draft ball they move him for a mid first round pick. 10th is probably on the high side of things but still close enough that it would be fair.

From what I've read Magic sort of views Ingram as untouchable and the rest as movable pieces which is smart. If you don't really believe in Randle and Russell then you might as well move him now then wait and have a repeat of what my Sixers went through with Noel.

I'd be so pissed if they traded D'lo for the 10th(SAC) or 12th(DET) pick. Maybe i'd feel better if Moz or Deng went too, but even then i'd be pissed AF. D'lo for Collins or Kennard, straight up puke.

But as most said, this is just bs. No way it's happening

If they trade DLo it'll be a huge mistake. SMH I hate that Twitter gives stuff like this traction. What next? Can't wait to hear what fkn Jay Williams has to say about trading Russell. Screaming A Smith gonna end up yelling some more insane **** too. Russell is gonna ball this season, with or without George. Just run and get open with Zo at the 1. Barely going to be 22 next February.

Yay. Rival fans coming to the Lakers board to troll about how "little value" Russell has. You guys need to get a new hobby.

It's funny because on one hand they're desperate to get him on their team and on the other hand, they are desperate to tell us he is worth nothing.

Isn't Chad Ford the same clown who goes back and changes his draft board after the fact to make himself look better? Don't believe a word the man says.

He's not even saying he's got a source, he's speculating. If you trade Russell for luke kennard you'd lose your job as a GM.

Bugger, was hoping it might have a shred of truth. Sessions and 11 for Russell seemed like a no brainer for us.

i read it as his sources are from other teams' GMs, i.e. teams that were propositioned by the lakers

how serious or not, ford didn't get that sort of answer, but it seems like a fact-finding mission from maginka at this stage, trying to gauge russell's value instead of trying to find a trade partner

Instead, Ford said he was told by other organizations who claimed the Lakers had called them and offered Russell to try and acquire a pick they could use to select a player in the first round who they had brought in for a workout but was out of their range at No. 2 or No. 28 (via ESPN):

I also wonder if the little story about Russell and Randle's mini character issues was entirely planned to prime the fans for a little impending trade

Usually if you're trying to trade someone you would want to elevate their value not lower it beforehand.

You cant trade Russell for Kennard! This is ridiculous. Magic wont complete the first year on the job if he do this trade.

Like I said before,

D'angelo Russell for Kristaps Porzingis.

D'angelo makes sense for the triangle offense.

If we draft Lonzo Ball, and Paul George joins Brandon Ingram on the wing, Kristaps would make way more sense for the Lakers than Russell. KP would play center if we go small (Nance and Randle) or PF if we go big (Zubac).

If Ball and Ingram pan out, we're primed to become a superteam. Dynamic, all-star talent at four positions.

Yes. And if I'm not mistaken he had Ingram at 9 in a redraft.

I'm down with this but the Knicks would need 2-3 first round picks for Porzingis.
