If Giles can stay on the court, I think his floor is much higher than Leaf's. I just don't think Leaf is a good prospect in all honesty. I think he's going to be eaten alive on the defensive end, don't think he'll rebound particularly well, and don't think he'll be able to create for himself. If his shooting doesn't translate, which based on his low volume and free throw shooting, I'm not super confident that it will, I don't think he'll have a place in the NBA.

I think Anigbogu's floor is higher than that, and I don't consider Ferguson as someone we're connected to since he hasn't worked out for us yet.

He's already a pretty good rebounder and has effort + fundamentals. His rebounding should only improve with added strength. He stands to benefit from being in a pro weight room more than a high majority of cats in this draft.

Offensively, he shot well on plenty of volume, could take opponents off the dribble and not just in a straight line to the goal, and he displayed touch in the post as well as moves.

You can be a confident he'll be decent or better in two areas. That makes him a high floor guy.

Some questions can be fairly asked about his defense. But I think those concerns are over-exaggerated when you consider he's a pretty good athlete, his height/length is decent, and he knows how to play the game.

Deonte Burton is an interesting option imo. With the way the Bucks invert their frontcourt and backcourt in some plays, he could be nice.

6’5” – 266 lbs – Guard

Is there a free buffet after the workouts ?

These guys have been added to my workout spreadsheet. Really happy to see John Gillon get a workout. I don't think he's 6 feet tall though and he has no shot in the NBA, but he was a lot of fun to watch at Syracuse this year. Seriously, if you didn't get a chance to see him, look at these two videos; he took some first round prospects to the woodshed this year.

His floor game is less refined, but he does remind be a bit of Saric with his offensive versatility. I definitely think Leaf is going to be a useful player in this league.

Burton's position is PwG. Power Guard.

If his jump shot is legit, I'd take him in the second.

We'll see. He attempted less than two 3 pointers per game; very small sample for a guy you're expecting to be able to stretch the floor. He wouldn't be the first person to go from a small sample size to being a legitimately good 3 point shooter, but it's a definite red flag.

He rebounded fine in college; I just don't think he'll be anything special in that regard in the pros. Not a liability like Jabari when we play him at the 4 for example, but not someone that improves our rebounding either. 6'11" wingspan isn't good length for a guy that's 6'10". And I don't think he's quick enough to take guys off the dribble in the NBA, nor do I think he'll be posting people up with any regularity.

I do love that he seems to be a really smart player and the knowledge that he had around the league (knowing we were getting a new stadium for example) was extremely impressive, but I pretty much see him as purely a stretch 4 in the NBA, so the fact that his volume and FT% aren't impressive gives me serious concerns.

A 6'5 Center? I get that the league is all about small-ball right now, but c'mon. Even Chuck Hayes was like 6'6.5 in shoes. If he can guard wings and shoot a little bit then I'm interested. If not, no thanks.

I didn't know what to do with him on my Draft Workouts Spreadsheet, so I just listed his position as "Wildcard" lol

I would like to see videos and a report from that workout. Our 2nd rd pick could well be contained in there.

If he can guard ANY POSITION I'm interested, as long as he can hit an open 3. Seems like he's going to be able to get to the rim. Got some Barkley in him.

I don't doubt that he'd be a perfect fit in our weird "we need all 5 guys posting up" offense.

Yes to Burton. Total homer pick. If he has the drive I could see him destroying other bench units.

I'm confident Burton can guard 2-4 (could match-up with LeBron and Kawhi, for examples). Very iffy about the 5's part. But Green does mostly play 4, and it ain't like the Warriors are hurting at the time.

He is a decent 3 point shooter. He made 68 3 pointers in his career at over 40%. Somewhat sparingly his first couple years, but always shot solidly from a % standpoint. Then when he became less choosy, it still translated. He's very smooth. And he can punish you on the close, knifing to the basket, and finishing w/ strength/explosion, as well as finding a teammate sometimes.

Definitely could envision multiple roles for him in the league, and that has to be comforting. I'd prefer to go in a number of different directions at 48 because it's hard to pinpoint what he is, but I'd be fine with Burton, and he could prove a steal that you look back on wondering why others didn't see it.
