if those D'Lo rumors are true, would love to pick up an extra pick around 10 or so to trade for him

maybe Bledsoe to the Kings for 10/to the Mavs for 9, then move that pick for Russell

I can not remenber a draft with so many rumors and leakes around .It is getting crazy and fun.

I hope that we stay pat and we draft a good prospect at #4.

And I DEFINITELY don't want to do this...

I think Porzingis is gonna be an All-NBA level player one day, so I'm 100% in favor of doing that. Booker/Porzingis is a real foundation with an incredible ceiling.

I love Porzingis too, but two firsts and two young improving starters seems like a bit much.

it's a bird-in-hand situation for me. We know Porzingis already looks like a potential franchise cornerstone; can't say the same for Chriss, and you HOPE that these draft picks can give you a guy like Porzingis:

I think that we are not gonna trade Bledsoe for thee reasons:

1.His name is not out there, no reports or leaks about we wanting to trade him.

2.McD mentioned him yesterday like a part of our team (in that sentence about our core's age...from teenagers to Bledsoe ,27).
He does not name Knight at all since the end of the season, but he has named Bledsoe a few times.

3. Not a single workout from a premier PG in the draft for us. No Ball, no Fox, No DSJ.

So, I expect Jackson/Isaac/Tatum.

Why wouldn't they just move their own pick for Russell, wouldn't they prefer him to Bledsoe if they are looking for a guard?

I really don't want us to trade this pick. Even if JJ is gone at 4 I think highly enough of Tatum and Isaac to give them a shot in Phoenix over selling out for Kevin Love. I'd think about Zingis, but I'd rather put together something centered around Bledsoe for him than give up this years pick (unless we get their pick in return somehow?)

Yeah, upon more thought, I might do that. He is a stud. Knicks fans would riot though.

The worst thing about it is the Bulls HAVE to get more than the 4th pick for Butler, and I'm guessing more would go from us, because the Cavs don't really have any young assets to send them that would make it worth the 4th pick. I can't see it getting done just because I don't think that gives the Cavs enough ammo to trade for Butler without someone like the Celtics being able to beat the offer.

I would probably do that deal since Porzingis probably makes Warren and I think more so Bender, redundant. KP has shown the tools that he might be a star in the NBa. So I would probably be okay with it. Draft picks are good to have but solid real talent, and using those picks for KP - would be the best use of them.

you're probably right but I was thinking maybe Cuban would want one last win-now push before Dirk retires

From a cap situation, I think the Bulls would have to take on Knight or Bledsoe plus probably one of three players: Chriss Bender or Warren to make the dollars work.

My guess, more smoke than fire

#4 for Love? Yuck!

#4 for KP? Hell yeah! I'd even throw in #17 Miami and Knight. Might even add Bender.

KP is a legit young superstar to pair with Booker and gives us the ability to win now. Plus it gives us a shot at a free agent signing.

Bledsoe probably, 4th, a Miami pick and of the three: Warren, Bender or Chriss - the one who wouldn't be the best to play with the guy

Yeah, probably because it would have to be like the 4, Bledsoe and Bender (AT LEAST) that they'd need for Butler...probably more like a Miami pick, and we end up with Love, which would be an awful trade.

Throwing in Knight would hurt our package, they would want good things for KP, not useless overpriced pieces.

It would take more than #4 and Miami 2018, you'd have to add Bender at least IMO and that still might be light.

KP is a really legit 22 year old versatile big man that averaged 18/7 with 2 BPG on a dysfunctional Knicks team. He's only going to get better. He can be an actual piece of a legit foundation for the future; he's the guy that Bender MIGHT/MAY be able to become if it breaks perfectly well for him.

If Porzinigis' brother is serious that KP would play out his rookie contract and choose his own destination, then I'd be worried about giving up a lot.

None of the players rumored to be available interest me other than Kristaps. I'd even be willing to overpay to get him. But when all is said and done, I just can't see the Knicks moving away from him. To me, the only concern is that guys his height almost always have injury problems so it's a little scary to have him as your centerpiece. But I'd still pursue him even with that concern.

he'd be a RFA at the end of his rookie deal, so we'd have matching power

Return to Phoenix Suns
