This Porzingis stuff was the final straw for me.

I don't think I'd trade out of Ball for porzingis.

Ball is the newest of age-modern day PG's. A pass first, elite shot selection guy who excels in transition. While Porzingis is pretty damn unique in his own right, it's a red flag to me with the way he has acted in NY and PJ's openness to moving on him so quickly.

He's a bigger kirilenko minus the playmaking skills, which is fine but his offense has basically been stagnant since year 1. No development in pick and roll game which is a red flag considering his athleticism.

I see ball as a guy who leads offenses in the 120+ offensive ratings year in and year out, which I think is far more valuable.

Doesn't help that Porzingis play didn't improve his sophmore season.

I would trade anyone, including the #2 pick for Kristaps.

Admittedly, no, just looking over his numbers on Basketball-reference.com and whatever videos of his game may be on YouTube. I believe he's at least as good as anyone we have already, and we already know what we're getting with him as opposed to a draftee that we don't know much about thus far concerning what they might be in the NBA. He's a legit starter, and a player you can add to a core going forward. Not suggesting a package deal for him with my original statement. Just any one player.

I think the fact that he didn't improve over his rookie season is a serious red flag as to his ceiling. His points and TS% were up but that is about it. His rebounding dropped, his FT% dropped, his assist rate is still bad and didn't improve at all, his fouling rate went up, his PER is slightly down etc....

That's fair. I like Kristaps. He's good and he still has a'lot of room to grow. I just feel like a'lot of his hype is still coming off what he did as a rookie. Last year was very up and down for him (similar to D'angelo) but if I had to choose I'm taking Dlo, Ingram, and what will probably be Ball over him. But it's close

Any news on the Lonzo front or are the Lakers still not willing to say he's their pick?

I wouldn't hesitate on dealing the second pick for Porzingis if it was offered. His ceiling is AD/Giannis like. Its a no brainer.

Not happening though. PJax would never deal him. Not this soon. I don't buy it. Lets just settle on Ball at 2 and continuing to low ball the living ish out of the Pacers for PG.

If that's the case he's going to seriously need to improve his game and fast.

Everybody saying that Indy wants to move PG as soon as possible. I think they will accept our offer before the draft. I just hope we make a sensible one and don't give up our top 3 young guns.
