This is one of the best NBA off seasons towatch that I can remember and the draft and FA haven't even happened yet. Lots of teams in it going into major rebuilds. It is so crazy someone might actually trade for Okafor!

I'm not interested in paying the inflated price it would take to get him now. His price will come down in another year or two guaranteed.

So can we give Lonzo the Markelle treatment now?
Boston passed on Markelle so now he's not as good. Now 2 teams we're okay passing on Lonzo. Is he still great?

Man, imagine if the lakers don't draft lonzo.

Doesn't make sense at all but magic is crazy, if this is true he is not really high on him.

Dwight Howard brings back a terrible basketball player, on a terrible contract and lower draft pick.

What is going on in the NBA lol

They really need to get back to the playoffs.

Who does? Charlotte?

I was more talking about Atlanta. They gave up Dwight Howard and a better pick for a bad player, bad contract and worse draft pick.

Yes Charlotte needs to get back to the playoffs. Atlanta got rid of a vet that was becoming a distraction on the bench and got a 3 point shooter.

Dwight Howard the man who causes franchises everywhere to rebuild. Traded to LA from Orlando in a three team deal with Philly, eventually all three teams end up with multiple lottery visits and top to bottom rebuilds. Houston dumps Howard and becomes an entirely different team, an immediate rebuild that is incredibly successful. Atlanta is next to touch Howard and enter Tankville, no doubt Charlotte will be next.

Because he's a false hope, just like every big nowadays not named Embiid. They won't make ur team be a contender as your ALPHA. You'll see that with KAT, Gobert, KP or Jokic.

All these teams just farting around with their players and draft picks. Meanwhile we have been ridiculed for "not doing anything".

Nets better team after the trade?

Lin, DLo and Levert log jam at guards.
I'll find a cheap rim protector with Booker.

I'll try that cheat code roster make up like heat last season.

Think Russell is lucky, Brooklyn is still a big market, and those fans are thirsty so they'll love him regardless of everything else.

Russell must have some baggage that is not public it would seem like.

I mean, they are probably better off. Not sure there a better team as a result, but getting a chance at developing Russell is probably there best bet considering the pile of garbage Marks was dealt in terms of roster/assets.

They don't have a lottery pick again next season due to BK and his terrible GM abilities. Russell at least has the "appeal" of adding a #2 pick to the roster.

Lopez was likely gone and on an expiring deal....Mozgov is an awful deal, but like Hinkie he likely see's that they will probably not be major players in the FA market until they improve as a unit. Lin is a veteran and probably not a realistic long term piece for them.

Man, I envy your team right now. You still get to watch pretty much all of your young players play together. Magic and Pelinka look like they're ready to mortgage all our assets to pick up a player that already said he'll sign with us. The rumor is that they're trying to trade down from #2, in order to include one of those assets in a trade for PG.

Also, I know not everyone was that high on Russell, but the guy is so young...It's crazy to just give up on him, especially getting so little value out of it.

Wtf is going on? This is complete madness. For as good as BC has been the last 72 hours, this is where I miss Hinkie. No one was more ready to seperate a foolish GM from his assets and right now there's a lot of foolish GMs.
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

It's understandable though..

4 years of tanking and not getting any potential franchise played takes it toil.

At some point you will need to shift into another route.

When Lakers hired Pelinka, you kinda know this is happening for FA is his strength.

Look at this draft, you can't be assured you'll get a talent of PG's caliber with a top 3 pick. How many top 3 picks to get a guy like PG? 2-3?

I think the move is part of a bigger move and it just means PG is about to be a Laker. And maybe a chance to get LeBron in 2018. If not, some productive player to play with George, Ingram and Ball.

Yeah, but we are sort of out of the asset collection phase of our process. Taking on Mozgov for Russell would be a step back. Now if the BKN aren't sold on him and willing to take Okafor plus OKC pick then sure.

Yeah.

Hinkie: cap space for DLo
BC: calculated sacrifice of assets for Fultz

Which gives your team better impact?

That cap space could be really useful with a Fultz-Simmons-Embiid selling point
