I'm not going to take shots at DA here, but he is using a 'per sources'. Now why the hell would the Lakers share something like that? The Lakers could have had talks as soon as the lottery order was established. And the Kings releasing it now to speed bump the Lakers after piecing it together themselves.
Woj is straight statements, no sources. Just facts.
Woj reported the DAngelo trade as sources said too. You are getting caught up in the trivial things and ignoring the message here that Pritchard has these two bozos spinning on their heels in their very first serious negotiation and it's clear they are in over their heads.
Well for those of us who were around Pritchard is sort of an OG when it comes to these type of deals. He was Hinkie before there was Hinkie.
I think the problem the Lakers have right now is they only have two type of assets some that aren't worth a whole lot last late round pic, Clarkson, Randle and assets that are worth a ton like the 2nd overall pick and Ingram. So it sort of boils down to can they find some way of splitting an already existing asset into smaller pieces or combine two lesser assets into a more attractable piece where they can consummate a trade without overpaying.
I do think if the offer remains the same some team will beat it and the Lakers run the real risk of him resigning if it is a title contender like the Cavs. Heck for the price the Lakers are offering I hope my sixers get involved we have cap space. We can go out and add two more additional max players to play with PG ontop of Simmons-Embiid-Fultz-Saric. Do I expect that to happen no but I mean the option is there. What I don't really understand is why Russell wasn't included in the package for George. He is sort of the bridge value between clarkson and ingram. Strange.
