I think this deserves a thread. If true, it implies that the players staged a lockerroom revolt and FO completly folded. Not only is that a serious indictment on FO, and players IQ, but now we have a new sheriff in town and potentially but hurt players that revolted to keep it together. Sheriff Schlenk is cleaning up the town...team and we'll see who sticks and who goes.
I'm completely unsurprised by the first to go: DH

Re: Player revolt behind deadline inactivity
1. I wonder if hope this was overstated, otherwise...it's a huge concern.
2. This is what happens without true leadership in the locker room. Losing Teague, Horford and Korver in such a brief time left us susceptible to this kind of behavior.
3. I wonder if Dwight was a part of this. I doubt Taurean or Bembry were.
My 3 main suspects:
Thabo, D12, Dennis Horatio Schroder.
Maybe Bazemore. I just don't think anyone else has the cachet or the chutzpah.
4. If it's true -- and as bad as it sounds -- it's really hard to justify keeping Mike Budenholzer in charge of a young, bad team likely to encounter quite a bit of adversity in the coming seasons.

I think we know who the likely culprits were. DH is gone, Schro has it in him, but we need to channel that, Sap was touched by the love, Baze didn't want to revolt buy got caught up in the moment and cried............

So I clicked on Windhbag ESPN original article from the RealGM story. I don't see any reference to a player revolt

He mentioned it in the video at the top of the article. He glosses over it, making me think it was less a revolt than just vocal push back from the vets who just signed long contracts.

Yeah...
but the fact he didn't mention it in the written article and no one anywhere elaborated or corroborated it...makes me wary.
Not even Peachtree Hoops or AJC mentioned this.
I don't believe Windhorst is lying. But I do think 'revolt' might be overstating things.
(Is it really a revolt if Dennis, Bazemore and THJ have a heated conversation with management -- expressing frustration that all the veterans on the team were being shipped out?)

Exactly this, that's why my initial response was...need another source. More details would certainly be nice.

It's the same source they are referencing - Windhorse.
