I think Ainge is saying he'll take Tatum because someone from Pick 5 to 10 wants Tatum.... if he doesnt get someone to bite, he might just draft BPA... which is Jackson.

The bulk of our core can't even buy a beer yet, no **** theyre winning under 30 games.

that's a good point

still not sold on us having this treasure chest of riches as far as talent is concerned. right now it's 100% potential. I hope it turns out(because I really like Ulis, Chriss, Bender, Warren, Booker, etc.), but not all of them are gonna hit.

AT least it is better then bring in old guys in hopes that they will get use into the playoffs.

Why do I have a feeling Suns will trade up to Pick 3 and give up an asset....

Maybe Pick 4 and one of Suns/Heat 2018 pick... Why? I have a feeling Ainge KNOWS McD wants Jackson, even though Suns have brought Isaac and Tatum twice for work outs, I think Jackson has been in 2 works outs as well and got a promise from McD, but McD told Jackson to skip workout with Celtics and dont say anything that Suns promised to draft him. But Ainge smells this.... and will make a phone call to McD saying he will draft Jackson unless he offers Pick 4 and a future pick. This in turn allows Ainge to get his consolation which is Tatum, who he will draft for Celtics or actually package to Bulls along with Suns/Heat 2018 pick and the pick from 76ers.

Ainge gonna Ainge.

Its so OBVIOUS to me that Ainge traded down to pick 3 because he knows Jackson will be there.

And he knows MANY teams will want Jackson.

Case in point... Spurs.

I truly believe Suns want Jackson too.

Knicks want Jackson as well.

So as my point above, McD may need to trade up to Pick 3 if he really wants Jackson.

of course Spurs could also be targeting Fox... but I doubt it. Their system relies on Kawhi Leonard handling the ball from half court onwards. Well Josh Jackson can handle the ball too, so Popovic will have 2 shut down defenders who can switch to PG, SG and SF easily. Fox is appealing but he is so so tiny and doesnt have a 3pt shot... Jackson has potential to be trained just like how Leonard became a good shooter under Spurs trainers.

Did everybody listen to that? I clearly heard Josh Jackson say he's going to Boston or Phoenix. Right now I still think Josh Jackson is going 3rd to the Celtics. I think there is so much smokescreen going on. I'm not buying the Celtics taking Tatum over Jackson right now. I heard Josh Jackson gaining momentum Boston #1 pick when Celtics still had the 1st pick. I believe Jackson will be one of the best prospects in this year. I definitely think Jackson will be better than Fultz and Ball. So if the Celtics are going by taking the BPA at 3rd pick, Jackson is the BPA at 3rd pick. I'll continue to think about this tonight and tomorrow but i'm sticking with Jackson 3rd pick and Tatum 4th pick.

yup.

I think Ainge planned it along... he knew Jackson will drop to 3, might as well get assets whilst still getting Jackson.

That or he wants to milk Pick 3 some more by trading for more assets.

From Suns point of view, Isaac and Tatum working out twice is a smokescreen. I believe Jackson also worked out twice.

Ainge will MAKE that phone call to McD an hour before the draft and say he will draft Jackson but giving McD a chance to make a last ditch offer to switch places. Pick 4 and one of Suns/Heat 2018 pick for Pick 3.

Ainge has little use for another rookie next season... so he will use Pick 4 and the two future picks (or one of them) to get Butler from Bulls who wants multiple picks to budge.

Right now is about not making mistakes as much as anything else.

The GSW monopoly is not going to end before 2020.

Tomorrow I'd like to see (in a realistic scenario) Booker and Jackson headline our future as All Star prospects and essentially have free hits on Chriss, Warren, Bender, Ulis, Len to join them as the 3rd.

I'm also factoring in if the Celtics trade the 3rd pick. I think Josh Jackson gets drafted 3rd whether the Celtics keep the pick or trade it once after the 3rd pick is finalized. I see the Celtics keeping Josh Jackson and I see the other situation of still trade Josh Jackson and trade him before draft is over. It doesn't matter whether the Celtics keep Josh Jackson or trade him after the pick is official, If you pick Josh Jackson to get drafted 3rd and Adam Silver calls Josh Jackson name at the 3rd pick, We score.

Get Jackson to do a Kobe.

He might spend years as trade bait if selected by Boston.

feel sorry for Jalen Brown and Josh Jackson if Celtics draft him... because Crowder will get the minutes because Celtics are competing for playoffs and he brings the reliable defense and shooting most nights... so rookies dont get any time.

On the Suns, Jackson looks like he feels confident he can get tons of minutes playing behind Booker, Warren and even starting some games over Warren.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Celtics decide on Jackson, if only to use him as a future trade chip, but I don't get the point of a Tatum smokescreen at all. It could be people hearing the wrong things, people are just mistaken, twitter people making **** up. But smokescreen for Tatum? What's the point?

And McD will say... hey thanks for the tip, but we have already talked with Chicago about that, your move maestro 8-)
