3 team trade?
Wiz Send : Mahinmi and 2019 loto protected first first and #52.
76ers send : no one
Rockets : Send Ariza, Beverley, # 43 and # 45.

Wiz get Ariza, Beverley, #43 and #45
76ers get Mahinmi and the 2019 first
Rockets get #52.
The rockets are trying to dump salary for bring in a big name, this helps them do that.
The 76ers need salary and honestly could us a stable bench vet for the young guys and instead of over paying any one this summer mahinmi has one less deal on his contract than they would have to over pay most guys to come there and they replace one of those picks they burned moving up 2 spots in the draft.
The wiz, also save a little cash, move up and add another pick in the draft, and get two really solid bench players that can play an all around game for us.

Well we don't even need to speculate--outside of Durant, the FO clearly was willing to max out Al Horford knowing full well they'd most likely be in the tax because of it. So they already showed their cards--they were willing to go into the tax for an all-star player.

In terms of who is available NOW? With our current cap situation? Very narrow opportunities. It's why I said going for George might be worth it, but if he's truly truly hellbent on LA no matter what then you can't do it. So that would leave Millsap. I think Millsap will be good for two more years at least. So you can pay into the tax with him and make a run at things and see what happens, then blow it up after and go on a firesale.

But just adding roleplayers to Wall/Brad/Otto is terrible. That core can't get it done. You just need one more all-star to have a real punchers chance at it.

I'm telling you, if Ernie got on the phones and grinded hard he could come up with something. But is he motivated to do that? There's been no indication this franchise has been that hungry or motivated. You have to keep making calls and be hellbent to get something done and you can't miss windows.

I don't know if anyone has suggested this but:

Wizards trade:
Oubre
2018 1st Rounder
Morris
Gortat

Indiana trades:
Paul George

I said this, but with another future 1st instead of Morris. I see it as a good deal for Indiana and a good risk for Washington.

With these wall quotes in reading, I think Ernie might actually make it happen.

Wall
Beal
George
Otto
Gortat/Mahinmi

Is the best team in the east easily, and they would be forced to roll with the young players in Sato/Mac off the bench. They would have to use the MLE to sign another wing player or a backup center, but you gotta make this move if you're Ernie. Wall wants it to happen, you get Wall to sign the big extension if PG comes, and we all know PG would stay if he came here.

You've gotta think Gallo, Gay, Green are all free agents wings that would be on Ernie's list for the MLE, also said he would be willing to go into the luxury tax. Maybe they bring Bojan back at the room exception also.

By far the best team in the East and that lineup gives Golden State a challenge. That's 4 All-Stars on one team, yes Otto Porter had an All-Star season last year by many metrics. Not quite 4 All-NBA players and 2 top 5 NBA players, but it's close and you gotta expect the young guys to keep improving.

So out of the 4 interested teams, we have to have the best potential offer in the table right?

Clippers don't have the assets if not offering DJ

Rockets also don't have 2017 1st or assets outside of Capela?

Cavs don't have the assets at all, and wouldn't trade love for a rental.

Lakers offering Clarkson (terrible contract) +Randle+ late 1st

So an offer of Oubre+picks and salary filler could be the best offer on the table.

Wall is in the media speaking in favor of the move, Ernie says he would go into the tax and is "on the phones" the report is that PG will be moved no later than tomorrow.

This is exciting lol

And forces us into a smaller lineup that is actually better defensively because of the ability to switch 1-4. We gotta make this happen

I don't think this is the worse move in the world. I hope we can get back into the draft just b/c of the surplus of 2nd two talent but Frazier looked pretty good in stretches.

PG John Wall / Tim Frazier
SG Bradley Beal / Sheldon Mac
SF Otto Porter Jr / Kelly Oubre Jr / Tomas Satoransky
PF Markieff Morris / Chris McCullough
CE Marcin Gortat / Ian Mahinmi / Jason Smith

We 12 deep baby! We just might have beaten the Celtics if we had Frazier instead of Jennings during the playoffs a few weeks back.

Our bench is looking better already. We now need a veteran shooter on the wing and mobile 4 that make a shot and defend the perimeter.

You're forgetting that Jason smith is the 6th man backup PF, Jennings and Burke are the backup PGs still, and Bojan plays over Oubre.

Frazier played really well early in the season while Jrue was out for the Pels. In all seriousness, a good move. Also another 1 year band-aid for backup PG, but this is cool.
Pels fans also don't sound happy about this.

How is this guy's defense? Knowing how awful Jennings and Burke were on that end, that should be the emphasis.

That's a good move. Frazier looks really good with the eye test at times. Stats aren't good but I think he's got potential to improve under Brooks

I feel a lot better about bringing Bojan back with Frazier running O

its early, but I don't see Sato being Frazier out, and I see Sato as a 1 so might be time to pack him up and ship him off
