Magic will wait until just before Lonzo enters his third-year breakout season, then he'll trade him to the Nets for a **** draft pick.
Thats not what he did. He took an overrated under achiever with a lot of issues and a bad contract and flipped it into a a first round pick and an expiring contract opening up cap space.
Lets move on already and stop whining over spilled milk. Whats done is done. Have faith in our F.O and give them a chance.
Also as a one year player on a team with no pick in 18 and no reason to tank Lopez is a good player as long as you don't need mass rebounding numbers.

Caleb Swanigan will probably be available at #27 or #28. I have no idea how he isn't a projected lottery pick. Could be the next Ben Wallace. I hope the Lakers draft him if they can't get a Paul George trade done.

There's literally nothing about Swanigan that says Wallace except for the physical appearance which is similar.
And we have a ton of bigs already.
We need guards and wings.

Swanigan is closer to Glen Davis than Ben Wallace

Re: 2017 Lakers Draft Pick Discussion
Seriously, unless we are given a huge bargain by Indiana, I hope we stay away from trading for PG. Lets get him as a FA and save our assets.
We can pick up some good players at #27 and #28 in this year's draft plus Ball at #2. We need these assets down the line to trade for that second MAX player and not for PG. How are we going to battle GSW or SA Spurs with just PG? We need to think longer term and make sure when we have a player like PG who wants to come home that we dont blow our assets on trading for him.
One more day!!

Paul George would be the fifth best player on the Warriors. He isn't helping us battle them any more than Mickey Mouse would.

He's better than Klay Thompson and Draymond 'Deez Nuts' Green (who is a role player, the best role player, but a role player).
Replace him with Klay and they would be a better team.

except Swanigan is rubbish defensively (and he's like my favourite prospect in this draft outside the lottery).
Swanigan though, if we do trade the 27 and 28, we should get via buying the two philly 2nds (select Frank Jackson). He could be everything we wanted Julius Randle to be (3pt shooter, passer, good rebounder and good back to basket player and is athletic with the good motor).

For short, the smart move is to keep our 2nd, 27th and 28th pick...I hope Magic stands pat....and just let Indy self destruct..

Re: 2017 Lakers Draft Pick Discussion
If we haven't told Ball and his agent yet that we are picking him, that's because the incompetent Magic is going to shop hard the #2 pick in order to get either PG or Butler in another desperate attack. It looks like it is going to be a nightmare tonight for Lakers fans.

Re: 2017 Lakers Draft Pick Discussion
We let DAR go. We need a point guard like a fish needs water so how can it possibly be anybody other than Lonzo Ball?
If it is anybody other than Lonzo it better be the next coming of Jesus H Christ because if Lonzo goes elsewhere and crushes the league there's going to be a lot of unhappy people around these parts.

Re: 2017 Lakers Draft Pick Discussion
wonder if we can move up the draft from 27 and 28 and get a guy like Kennard or even Monk (Lonzo and Monk would be a thing of beauty).
But if Porzingis, if he really is available we need to get him. Even if it means leaving the George deal for a year.
