Good morning fellas.

Nothing after 6 hours of sleep? I guess it's back to the draft board. Jackson or Tatum

I looked at KP on film......I see why a lot of you guys like him, but then I checked out The Booker montage on the Booker thread 8-)

I think KP has me leaning Tatum know.

I think we need to consider that everyone in the league is looking at Golden State and thinking "There is a group of guys who are putting their egos in check for the good of the team" and everyone is trying to emulate that. I think that they have the best distribution of talent across their roster than anyone in the NBA. We saw a Cavalier team that had the best player in the world and two All-stars get swept (Game 4 was a travesty of officiating). Y'all need to update your though process of "Quality of Quantity" because there isn't a vast enough drop off in Quality to sacrifice the Quantity we will have after this draft.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

If the KP deal goes down, I think it'll be Bledsoe, #4, and one of Bender/Chriss for the pick and Lee. If the Knicks want us to take Noah's contract then I'm only giving them the 4th pick. If they want us to take both Noah AND Lee, then I'm not offering them the 4 pick.

If they are hellbent on dealing KP, I think EB, the 4, and one of Chriss/Bender while taking Lee's contract off their hands is more than fair.

Just a rundown of what we've been discussing here.

Knight + Chandler per 36: 29.8, 4.9, 18.6
Porzingis per 36: 19.9, 1.6, 7.9

Knight + Chandler > Porzingis

why should we even think of a trade that could hurt us? Kp is one of the best talents in the nba - but who knows what no. 4 can do for us. i dont see the need of trading on of our youngs away. we have beldsoe and knight on the trading block, which are both signed on a solid contract. put a 2nd rounder on the trade and get the best you can have.

Props to the great one

Bledsoe/Warren/#4? ...Yeah, gotta do it.

Phil probably needs more return than these choices offer, so it's moot. I'm a little worried about The Zinger's injuries this past season anyway.

Well, back to hoping for Jackson, or Fox and a Bledsoe trade

After sleeping on it, I'm changing my "acceptables"...still likely unacceptable to NYK, but for ****s & giggles-

Bledsoe/Chriss/#4/#32/PHX '18/MIA '18 for Porzingis/Noah/#8

That breaks down to Bledsoe for #8 (Ntilikina?) and Chriss/#4/#32/two 2018 1st rounders for Zinger & Noah's contract- To which, Phil says "No!"

But if not...
Booker/Knight/Barbosa
Ulis/Ntilikina
Warren/(free agent?)/Jones Jr.
Porzingis/Bender/Dudley
Chandler/Noah/Len or Williams

Taking an optimistic view here:

The KP trade is fair, which is why both parties are left a bit unsatisified (and have created a fun, creative argument btw). If it goes down I ultimately think we will be better off because KP will have a bigger FA gravitational power which will help us build a stronger core.

If it doesn't go down, we are still drafting a GREAT prospect, because all of the wings available at 4 have so much to offer (how much bust/boom balance is personal choice. I'd go Jackson Tatum Isaac at this point, being happy with any of them)

What CANNOT happen are short sighted moves like trading for Love or PG or even Butler (which is the only trade of these I find merely acceptable). I think we have kind of a consensus on this.

We did the work to get either Porzingis / Jackson / Tatum / Fox.

Any combo looks amazing with Booker, plus we'll have a ridiculous amount of assets left still.

I don't mind keeping with the drafting route as long as we pay the price to became contender worthy.

Warriors main rotation of 8 players are ALL high IQ... Top 2 next to the Spurs... Who has Popovic as main brain.

Suns of the past 5 years have been plagued by DUMB players... Not necessarily literally dumb players but as in stupid and low IQ plays on the court. Sure we can blame coaching but at some point... You have to start looking at players who are smart as they are talented even going for players that are slightly less athletic or talented. But understands the game, sacrifices their own stats for the team, coachable and plays within each other. The current Suns team lacks those players.

So I think moving forward... Suns need to get those high IQ selfless players in... Cleanse the muddy swamp and bring in fresh water.

Obviously there's a breaking point on deals like this where the price gets ridiculous but in general if you need to overpay for a franchise changer you do it.

It reminds me of the harden situation. There was some report of what the suns wouldnt give up. I don't remember the specific players/picks but i can guarantee the suns regretted not pulling the trigger.

@WojVerticalNBA: Tremendous appetite around the NBA to trade into the Top 4 to select Kansas' Josh Jackson, league executives tell @TheVertical.

I know we've all said everything at this point, but makes me think that if we trade our pick it'll have to be AFTER celtics take Tatum at 3. But also, if everyone loves JJ so much, should we just draft him? I guess a guy like Porzingis is more established and JJ could very well be a bust, but I guess I'm just trying to make myself happy with anything. But damn if Boston drafts and then traded him I'm gonna be pissed. How did we end up with the 4th pick?! HOW?!?!

McDonough just has the make the decision that hindsight will show as the right one.

One of the most important days in Suns history I hope their only options are Porzingis / Jackson / Tatum / Fox.

Anything else you he's being tempted by is likely a mistake.

And this is why I think the most likely outcome tonight is Boston trading 3 and Jackson going with that pick.

I sadly agree, but damn I can't believe that. They land the first pick, TRADE IT, AND could get Porzingis?!?! Yet we end up with the 4th pick and can't do anything with it. Hopefully whoever we draft there turns out to be a stud. OR we convince Sac that we're gonna take fox and scare them into giving us 5&10

I'd only be content trading the pick for Porzingas. Otherwise, I don't want any part of a trade including Butler, George, Love, Jordan, etc.

I'd be alright with Butler depending on the deal. Would prefer KP first but if we can't get something done with them I wouldn't mind going for Jimmy. Want no part of George (leaving for LA), Love (injury issues), Jordan (1 year left and 29 next month)

The fact that everybody and their momma has chosen to try to jump into the top 5 at any cost EVEN THE DRAFT PICK WISPERERS SPURS, tells me to stay put with my draft pick, and pick a kid to add to the soup we have. These teams are serious about getting a shot at the top 5 in this draft even going as far as offering a unicorn AS A FAVOR TO US?!?!?! bull, somebody thinks one or a few of these kids are worth it. I think NY is trying to okeydoke us on who they are truly after. If the ultimate goal was only Jackson then they have to go for Boston at 3, since that's where this all gets muddled. I think they want a shot at Isaac to be truthful. No way in hell you announce to Ainge, who you want, AND TRY TO TRADE INTO THE DRAFT ONE PICK BEHIND HIM!?!? Draft our guy, try to move Bled and or Knight and or Chandler and let the young bucks ball together this year!!!

This is my exact feeling. I would be thrilled with a KP trade but other than that the only way I'll be disappointed tonight is if the suns trade 4 for a vet. I like almost every prospect they could potentially pick at 4 better than those trade options. Butler is the only one who's close but it scares me that he could just walk in two years.
