In what way is he "far more" of an athlete? Lydon showed up to the combine with the highest body fat % and still basically matched all of Leaf's numbers.
No step vert:
Leaf: 29
Lydon: 29.5
Max vert:
Leaf: 34.5
Lydon: 33.5
Lane Agility:
Leaf: 11.55
Lydon: 11.68
Shuttle Run:
Leaf: 3.27
Lydon: 2.81
Full Court Sprint:
Leaf: 3.27
Lydon: 3.46
I don't really think combine numbers mean a whole lot, but Leaf's athletic ability combined with his ability to put it on the floor make him more versatile than Lydon.
Lydon is pretty one-dimensional, in my opinion.
I mean, it's not like Lydon didn't show athleticism at Syracuse.
We'll see with Leaf. Where you and I seem to disagree on him is that I don't think his ball-handling will create anything for himself in the NBA; I think he's too slow for the moves he showed in college.
To me, both of these guys' value will ultimately come from their ability to stretch the floor and make smart cuts for put-backs and stuff like that. Lydon projects to be a better floor-stretcher IMO and he's more than capable of making those cuts.
