Hard pass. Just resign JJ and draft a PF.

The heart condition has been known since he was drafted. Riles already knew about it when he recruited LA. For those who say the league going small. Sports are about match ups. Who's unique scheme is better than the other. You gonna lose is you trying to run the same system as the best. You wanna find ways that the best can't match up with you. Go-too players should be players that pose a mismatch that what LA suppose to be (has failed at it in the playoffs). Role players are players that matches opposes team. If teams are going small the Heat should build a team that make teams pay for going small. If Heat can build a system that makes Whiteside and Aldridge a mismatch for teams to defend then do so. That's the question though can they get more out of LA than the Spurs could?

Trading for LA still leaves room to sign Gordon Hayward or maybe resign Waiters and JJ.

PG: Goran Dragic
SG: Gordon Hayward or Dion Waiters
SF: Justise Winslow/ Josh Richardson
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge (James Johnson)
C: Hassan Whiteside

Something to think about

Ira has been drinking too much purple drank. LMA at 32 isn't getting a top ten pick.

You guys need to think about it. The idea of getting Aldridge (even thou I think its unlikely) is not a bad idea. As is, the Heat lineup is

PG: Goran Dragic
SG: Josh Richardson - Tyler Johnson
SF: Justise Winslow
PF: Josh McRoberts
C: Hassan Whiteside

And 34 mill in caproom

or

PG: Goran Dragic
SG: Josh Richardson
SF: Justise Winslow
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge
C: Hassan Whiteside

And 32 mill in caproom

Which scenario you think is better going into free agency?

That Tyler Johnson contract is toxic and needs to be moved. If we can get an early second rounder I'm cool.

That's 3 shooters on the floor.

You dealt that Josh McRoberts card from the bottom of the deck, Twix. I don't hate your plan, though. I just think it's precocious. We're not going far with this team anyhow. It would still be fun to watch.

Dragic can shoot.

J Rich can shoot.

Aldridge can hit mid ranges very well.

Whats the confusion?

Dragic needs a ball in his hands, cuz no one can't consistently create in that line up outside of him. And I don't think that Dragic's pull up 3 is a good shot.

JRich is a streaky shooter.

Aldridge is an average mid range shooter.
